**ABOUT THE ROLE**
Over the past 5 years sennder has built a robust marketplace of shippers and carriers across Europe reinforced by network effects where additional business drives benefits for carriers, shippers, and sennder. In order to support ambitious growth in the coming years we are hiring for a Director of Network Density to drive sennder's network strategy across Europe.
Scope: The Director of Network Density will report to the Director of Commercial Operations and work closely with the VP of Commercial and other senior leadership across the Business and Tech org. You will manage a team of program managers who cover the aspects of building up network density including pipeline management and spot strategy. This is a new role within sennder. This means that while the scope is defined, a key element of this role is the ability to identify and define priorities to plan for the long term, while still making an impact in the mid and short-term.

**IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL**
- Develop a network strategy in line with sennder's growth targets and work closely with the Executive Team to ensure alignment across sennder's business units
- You'll work directly with the Sales leads in each country to ensure their target shippers have freight that strengthens our network and work with the pricing and tender teams to ensure our bidding strategy is in line with building a marketplace with long-term resilience
- Partner with carrier, shipper, and operations leadership on the capacity strategy to ensure alignment on our network strategy across all of sennder
- As a tool for driving density, you'll be directly responsible and oversee the spot strategy of the brokerage business, setting the guidance centrally for our commercial spot teams
- Run experiments in markets to test and the network effects from business and or technical changes
- Lead cross-functional projects with stakeholders in operations, sales, marketing, and product to unblock challenges that regional and global commercial teams face
**PREFERABLY YOU HAVE**
- Minimum of 7 years of experience working in the road logistics industry
- Minimum of 5 years working in commercial roles
- Proven experience leading teams with strong project management
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with a diverse set of stakeholders such as shippers, carriers and internal teams within sennder
- Executive-level stakeholder management skills
- Experience in tech or a start-up environment a plus
- Joy in solving complex challenges under pressure
- Analytical and critical thinking ability
- Bachelor's degree, Master's degree a plus
