Lead Maintenance Technician

**Duties**:
Serves as journey level Plumbing, team leader for the Embassy/Consulates.
Assigns tasks to team members and completes skilled maintenance and repair work throughout the Embassy (legacy) on critical and non-critical mechanical, electrical and electrical components within the functional/office buildings, on-compound ancillary support and residential buildings, above and below ground infrastructures, recreational facilities, and other owned/leased properties.

Directly supervises 4 team members of mainly the same trade to include Technicians, Mechanics, and others.

**The incumbent must have a valid French driver’s license (permis B) and provide a copy.**

A completion of secondary school is required, plus 2-years successful completion of specialized vocational training program from an accredited institute recognized as producing journey level in either HVAC, Plumbing, and/or Electrical systems, maintenance and construction services.- Evaluations:

**Experience**:
A minimum of three (3) years of progressive experience as a skilled Plumbing Technician is required + at least one (1) year of work experience as a technical team leader or supervisor in the construction, facility maintenance, or buildings operations is required.**Languages - These will be tested**:

- The incumbent must have detailed technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical equipment and systems. His/her knowledge base must be broad, encompassing many different makes and models, able to perform the required maintenance on each systems equipment. Must have a good technical understanding of major building electrical/mechanical systems and equipment. Knowledge of International Building Code standards including electrical and mechanical requirements, and fire and life safety codes is required.**Skills And Abilities**:

- Knowledge of performance metrics to manage team data to assist in the prioritization of critical assets and optimize the lifespan of systems and components.
- Good computer skills in developing reports, time management reporting, and tracking work events with critical milestones.
- Ability to perform routine decision-making skills related to the performance of team execution strategies.

**SALARY**: the **annual gross salary includes**: the profit-sharing allowance, the vacation allowance, the bonus allowance and the “Comité d’Entreprise” allowance.

**MEAL TICKETS**: Meal tickets have a face value of EUR 8.25/day. 60% of the daily amount is paid by the U.S. Government. An employee contribution of EUR 3.30 per ticket will be deducted in payroll. The number of meal tickets is limited to 202 workdays per year.

**TRANSPORTATION**:Employees are eligible for a reimbursement of 50% of the cost of public transportation passes purchased for commuting purposes.

**HOLIDAYS**: The U.S. Missions in France observe eleven U.S. holidays per year and up to ten French holidays.

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
