Akiem, a European leader in locomotive leasing and related services, is a young and rapidly growing company. Owning more than 800 locomotives and ISO 9001 certified, Akiem leases its equipment across Europe to freight operators, railway infrastructure companies, and passenger transport providers. With over 50 clients, a network of 150 industrial partners, and around fifty employees, Akiem is steadily expanding its activities in France and throughout Europe.
As part of Akiem’s Group Business Development team, you will contribute to strategic initiatives that enhance the company’s structure, market position, and service portfolio across its three core Business Units**:Leasing**, **Maintenance**, and **Passenger Services**.
Reporting directly to the **Deputy Managing Director of the Leasing BU**, your work will support transversal projects that have a direct impact on the group’s long-term vision. This role is particularly focused on strategic market analysis and the development of Akiem's industrial and service roadmap, with cross-functional interactions throughout the company.
**Main responsabilities**:
- ** Strategic Planning**: Assist the Deputy MD in preparing and presenting strategic materials to the Executive Committee (EXCOM)
- ** Cross-functional Coordination**: Gather and analyze internal insights from Finance, Maintenance, Procurement, and other teams
- ** Market & Competitor Intelligence**: Conduct competitive benchmarking and identify trends from manufacturers and authorities
- ** Content Creation & Reporting**: Prepare high-impact presentations, reports, and dashboards to track project progress
- ** Project Support**: Be a flexible, hands-on team player, contributing to various projects that support Akiem’s overall growth
**Your profile**:
- Final-year Master’s student (Business School, Engineering School, or equivalent) specializing in **financial analysis**, **market strategy**, or **business management**
- Previous B2B experience or strong business acumen
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Curious, proactive, and motivated by business development topic
- Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and data/reporting tools
- Fluent in both English and French, German as added value.
