Engineering Director

**About the opportunity**:
Doctolib is seeking a **Director of Engineering** based in our HQ in Paris to oversee the global Financial Domain and report to our VP of Engineering. You will solve complex challenges to ensure Doctolib delivers an ambitious product roadmap to transform healthcare.

Our **Financial Solutions** allow care teams to manage billing, payment, administrative, and financial activities to reduce care teams' administrative tasks and to maximize their financial performance. You will develop and implement a strategy to create a secure, scalable, and country-agnostic product to ensure high satisfaction for care teams.

**What You Will Do**:

- Define a strategic and innovative technical roadmap, while prioritizing customer satisfaction and setting the team up for long-term success
- Collaborate with business and product teams, while having the gravitas to influence transversal decision making within senior-level audiences
- Lead, train and foster a high-performing engineering team of 50+ members (and growing) while delivering positive team engagement scores
- Identify and prioritize competing priorities while keeping the team calm, focused, and proactive
- Build and lead a customer centric and outstanding organization, that delivers best in class customer satisfaction (NPS)
- Set standards and exceed security, reliability, performance and scalability requirements that to build products that cater to multiple personas, segments, and geographies in a high traffic environment
- Drive continuous system improvements for managing, documenting, staffing, and reviewing engineering projects and services
- Translate business requirements into technical decisions to deliver measurable performance outcomes in the product roadmap

**Who You Are**:

- You have 15+ years of software engineering and technical design experience, with a track record of building multi product and multi country distributed systems
- You have a solid international experience scaling a technical multi layered organization (50+ members), while upskilling, and retaining talent with an OKR driven and process-oriented approach
- You are an effective communicator with the ability to translate technical decisions to tech teams and key business stakeholders
- You are an international leader with the ability to think critically and objectively with a solutions oriented approach
- You are able to facilitate organizational change, adapt in a changing environment, and make quick decisions aligned with business needs
- You possess an entrepreneurial mindset and understand the importance of building products that are efficient, maintainable, secure, and profitable
- You recognize yourself in our leadership principles and playbook
- You have an understanding of the healthcare industry and experience with billing & payment products
- You are fluent in English. French, German, or Italian fluency is a plus.
