**Presentation of the Direction**

Group Controlling is responsible for performance monitoring within the Group. Its objective is to coordinate a regular dialogue with the entities in order to deliver to the Group Management Committee of AXA information on the financial, operational and strategic performance of the entities.

Group Controlling is made of 4 Regional Heads (or Head of Poles) based in Paris, under the supervision of the Head of Group Controlling. Each Head of Pole works with a team of Associates and Analysts.

Group Controlling is working in close collaboration with local top Management (CEOs, CFOs, Heads of Controlling) and Group central functions (DCFG, PBRC, GCD, GRM, IR etc.).

**Primary Mission**

The main mission of the Analyst is to assist the relevant Regional Head in providing consistent analysis notably on France scope (covering all lines of business: P&C, Life & Savings, Health) and helping in the challenging partner attitude with the Business Unit.

Therefore, the Analyst is expected to:

- Check regularly data submission accuracy/quality, develop accurate and user-friendly analysis tools and deliver ad hoc analyses (e.g., benchmarking, deep-dives into business / financial topics, non-financial KPIs analysis, etc.)
- Participate to the preparation of the monthly reporting covering financial and non-financial performance indicators;
- Provide regular updates on business performance and budget execution;
- Participate to forecasting, financial planning and budgeting processes;
- Participate in the dialogue with entities on financial and strategic matters (including budget, forecast and Strategic Plan submissions.

**Key accountabilities**

The main activities of the Analyst are to:

- Build proactively analysis tools to make the analysis more effective and to support discussions with the Business Units;
- Analyse and challenge the financial and business information reported by the entities;
- Identify and report the risks and uncertainties that could materially impact the results of Entities / Group;
- Participate to the discussions with Business Units to steer the performance;
- Contribute to the production of the monthly reporting provided by the entities as well as assist the entities in delivering the information if required. Building a strong relationship with local team will be a must to be able to understand in details the business specificities and challenges that will have to be reported to the Group Management Committee;
- Ensure the reliability of financial and non-financial data which will be shared with other teams;
- Contribute to strategic projects that will arise from time to time.

**Votre profil**:
**TECHNICAL AND PROFESSIONAL SKILLS**
- Good understanding of the insurance industry (Life, Protection, Health P&C, assets & liabilities, reinsurance)
- Good understanding of finance and reporting principles, notably accounting and consolidation principles / standards and actuarial practices
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- IT/Tools development appetite
- Fluent in English

**SOFT SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES**
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (writing / speaking)
- Ability to a work in a multicultural environment with people with diverse backgrounds and cultures
- Ability to organize effectively and work under pressure, remaining effective at all times whilst maintaining excellent attention to quality
- Ability to take initiatives

**BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE**
- Expertise required: strong ability to develop accurate and user-friendly analysis tools and to build from it a clear and comprehensive conclusion with the objective to share with Top Management
- Competencies required:

- Ability to analyse and summarise
- Ability to present in a synthetic and clear way the work results
- Ability to master short and long deadlines in parallel with non-hierarchical interlocutors
- A first experience in insurance/financial environment is required [1-4 years’ experience]
