**Key responsibilities**:
Leads.io is on the search for an Accountant in France who is responsible for managing and maintaining the financial health of our French entity. This involves preparing, examining, and analyzing accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards. French accountants must comply with French accounting laws, tax regulations, and EU standards.

Other responsibilities are:

- Maintain accurate financial records and prepared French statutory and group financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
- Manage the company’s general ledger to ensure proper classification of financial transactions.
- Ensure that all financial statements comply with French tax laws (including VAT and corporate tax) and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and file tax declarations, including social contributions and corporate taxes after approval from the group;
- Manage interactions with the tax authorities (Direction générale des finances publiques, DGFiP) in cooperation with the Group Tax Director.
- Prepare for external Group audits and provide necessary documentation relating to the French entities.
- Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues.
- Assist in budget preparation and forecasting by analyzing financial data and identifying trends.
- Provide local management with accurate financial reports and advice on cost controls and profit maximization.
- Ensure that payroll is processed correctly and complies with French labor laws (Code du Travail) and calculate social charges and contributions in consultation with the HR department at Head Quarters in The Netherlands.
- Collaborate with banks, auditors, tax advisors, and legal entities as instructed by the group finance function.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and clients concerning invoicing and payment issues.
- Be in charge of Accounts Receivable management, payment collection, handling bad debts and stay in contact with the debt collecting agency.

**Requirements**:
**Your qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; French/other accounting qualification is a plus
- 3-7 years of experience in accounting and consolidation roles
- Experience with NetSuite is a plus
- Strong analytical skills combined with a problem-solving attitude and can-do mentality
- Excellent time management skills
- Detail-oriented, accurate and precise
- Capable and willing to work in a fast-growing and dynamic environment and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Self-starter who sees things through to the end, ability to work independently with an excellent ability to build and maintain relationships in a remote environment
- Proficiency in the French and English languages
