Senior Accountant

**Job Description Summary**:
This position will be responsible for Finance, Accounting and Administrative support to STEMCELL Technologies, located in the Saint-Egrève office. Reporting to the Finance Accounting Manager, Europe, the senior accountant, is performing specific accounting tasks and assisting the finance accounting manager implementing policies, procedures and controls pertaining to the general accounting processes in Europe.

**Duties and **Responsibilities**

Daily accounting tasks

General accounting
- AP invoices control: ensure the correct posting in Stemcell Group ERP according to Group chart of account and cost accounting structure. Ensure supplier on time payment and expense supporting documentation
- Travel Expenses: Corporate Credit Cards control (deductible, benefits, entertainments,...) and posting to ERP via Concur (Travel Expense Software). Responsible of all accounting checks required in this process (request approval, reconciliations) and employee's travel expenses on time payment
- Payroll: With a global understanding (requiring some global checks if needed), post payroll movements in Group ERP and process on time payment to employees, Authorities, and other third parties when applicable
- File documentation for easy access and review by internal and external auditors for all general accounting and tax matters

Taxes and other monthly recurring declarations
- Perform some Tax declarations
- Review and understand all declarations performed by the tax consultant
- Trade tax, corporate tax payments management
- Link with local Tax consultant

Other daily accounting tasks
- Maintain strong interactions with other STEMCELL Services, in particular, Group Finance, HR, customer and purchasing departments to identify, address and resolve operating issues.
- Collaborate with the ERP Subject Matter Expert on all processes and transactions pertaining to general accounting.
- Help develop and report performance key metrics to identify challenges and propose remediation
- Deliver reports based on general accounting data according to Group and Local deadlines.

Month and Year End Closing
- Book general accounting entries (expense accruals, payroll and taxes entries etc...)
- Perform Balance Sheet and P&L review of entities in charge
- Ensure that closing is performed according to Group and Local deadlines.
- Maintain chart of account and mapping according to Group policy
- Prepare statutory package and filing information to be reviewed by consultants and auditors

Other
- Any other task/project linked to general accounting expertise, to support the accounting manager
- Per exception and due to Europe Finance team size, the help of accountant can be required on another Stemcell entity accounting matters

**Qualifications**
- Academic background in accounting (Bachelor’s degree or other strong academic credentials)
- SAP expertise in FI module.
- Team oriented spirit with strong communication skills (written and oral) in French and English to communicate in a clear, concise and organized manner
- Experience with accounting knowledge, in an international environment with excellent organizational skills
- The ability to deal with confidential and sensitive matters is essential
