To be driving the tender, negotiation, and management of the contracts within the O&M Offshore business. This role will include working closely with teams from the Construction, Operations, Legal, Insurance, Financial and Group Purchasing teams to ensure contracts are procured and managed effectively.

Belonging to the O&M Contract Department, you will assist in defining contracting strategies and plans, tendering, negotiating and (in some cases) managing multi-million offshore Service contracts. With responsibility for identifying, assessing, and creating procedures, to support site functions; and managing contractual & commercial risks and seek out opportunities to optimize and drive the performance of the service supplier contracts.

**_ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES_**:

- Support the Site and technical teams with the negotiation and management of contracts for the Offshore O&M Services.
- Assist in developing mitigation strategies in line with the contract terms, this will include proactively providing recommendations and advice on how to avoid any additional cost and, where this is not possible, how to minimize the costs of legitimate claims.
- Support in negotiations of claims and variations with contractors including the preparation of notes of advice and commercial drafting.
- Advice on key commercial risks from an O&M perspective for supply contracts on emerging projects.

**_REQUIREMENTS_**:
EDUCATION

Degree and professional qualification in relevant discipline - Engineering, Contract Management, or commercially orientated qualification

EXPERIENCE
- Experience in commercial and contractual aspects of engineering.
- Experience with warranty claims and negotiations.
- Proven ability to manage the negotiation of multi-contracts in competing timescales.
- Postgraduate experience in industry with significant experience in Offshore Wind, Onshore Wind or similar industry.
- Strong ability to manage own performance, with a significant focus on delivery and an ability to balance a varied and challenging workload, whilst producing high quality results in demanding timeframes.
- Flexibility to travel regularly to attend meetings and work at different project sites in a number of countries throughout northern Europe and USA, particularly Germany, France, Denmark, Spain and England.
