**Responsibilities**:
- Ensure that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time in compliance with the statutory accounting standards. Provide timely submission and filing of statutory financial statements. Provide support and expertise to other Finance Teams
- Participate in the transfer of Statutory and tax related activities from the EMEA Region to the SSC in Warsaw. Prepare relevant documentation around the process and related controls. Suggest improvements to existing processes to ensure efficient control around statutory and tax processes. regarding statutory accounting matters.
- Ensure the readiness of financial statements for review by external auditors. Liaise with/be the POC for external and internal auditors regarding statutory and tax matters. Coordinate external and internal audits within the SSC teams and Business Operations teams.
- Ensure tax returns are filed accurately and on time. Liaise with external tax consultants and the tax authorities regarding regular tax filings. Be the POC for external tax consultants regarding new business scenarios. Provide support and expertise to other Finance Teams regarding tax matters.
- Identify potential improvements initiatives and drive standardisation across the Statutory and Tax processes. Represent EMEA in the related global projects.
Qualifications:
**Experience required**:
- Qualified French accountant (e.g CPA; ACA,ACCA) or similar;
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar position in a multinational company;
- Knowledge of working in multinational corporation where US GAAP is used to oversee proper adjustments for ;
- Knowledge of French GAAP;
- Knowledge of French tax law;
- Knowledge of all French statistical reporting requirements;
- Verbal and written communication skills in English/French
- Ability to work closely with other departments in data gathering
- Onsite presence - hybrid
**Experience preferred**:
- Knowledge of other European GAAPs;
- Experience in the SSC environment;
- Knowledge of SAP R/3 and MS Office;
- Other European languages beneficial (German/Dutch/Italian)
