***:
The person in this role will be responsible for the full cycle accounting for European Milliman offices, overseeing the internal and external accounting processes.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Oversee accounting of external European offices.
- Monthly reconciliation of separate general ledgers for European offices.
- Review of monthly internal P&L.
- Monthly review and validation of Accounts Payable per entity.
- Preparation of repeating and ad hoc journal entries.
- Issuing inter-company invoices.
- Coordination of inter-company settlements.
- Assist with compliance reporting (audits, first review of statutory accounts).
- Assist European offices with questions regarding internal P&Ls and finance systems.
- Work closely with outside service providers (accounting, audit, and tax services).
- Communicate financial information to all levels.
- Support in preparation of cash to accrual adjusted trial balances and supporting schedules for select European offices for audit purposes.
- Report to the European Finance Manager, located in Paris, France.
- Work closely with the Finance teams in Seattle, India, and Paris.
**SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED**:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- Independent and self-motivated with a high level of team spirit.
- High level of integrity in dealing with sensitive data.
- Ability to work in both a large multinational corporate environment and be part of a fun and dynamic accounting team with members located around the world.
- Fluency in English required.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
- Excellent problem solving, communication, and analytical skills with customer service experience.
- Organized and detail oriented.
- Ability to work with all levels of employees and external stakeholders (accountants, auditors, attorneys, bank contacts, etc.)
**SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED**:
- Experience with using PowerBI and SQL
