**The role: Accounting Technician**
- We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Reinsurance Accounting Technician to join our growing team in Paris on a permanent basis.
- Please note that you must be fluent in French and English for this position

**Comment vous aurez un impact**:
**Your main duties**:

- Manage incoming technical accounts
- Update internal monitoring sheets
- Monitor evolution of claims
- Invoice reinsurers,
- Monitoring open balances
- Analyse accounts received from the clients including data validation and booking income booking into the accounting tool;
- Manage commutation topics, from performing the various calculations, to participating in the negotiation discussions and organising completion of the various formalities such as the signature of formal agreements;
- Assist with identification of financial receipts and allocation against third party ledgers;
- Reconcile bank statements against third party receipts;
- At each end-of-year close, assist with management accounting activities (evidencing revenue received and following up on unpaid income);
- Manage relationships with clients, reinsurers;
- Ensure transfer of premium to reinsurers and any commission rebates/ commissions due to third parties
- Transmission of loss advices to reinsurers

**Au propos de vous**:

- Accounts training (BTS/Licence en Comptabilité, DCG)
- You will have at least three years’ experience in the field of technical accounting from within the insurance sector, ideally having worked previously at an insurance company or broker;
- You will have good knowledge of the concepts of insurance and reinsurance ;
- You will have good command of the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel (pivot tables, VLookUp).
- Accounts training ideally (BTS/Licence en Comptabilité, DCG)
- An interest in accounting from a management or fiduciary or technical perspective
- Keen to start you career within Financial Services and service clients/brokers
- Happy to learn about accounting within reinsurance
- Good eye for calculations, payments, invoicing and income management
- Good energy and attention to detail
