**Senior Manager, Global Technical Sales, GAM/SI**
Leads a Sales Engineering team in managing existing client base and developing new accounts. Assists in development of and executes the strategy for the Sales Engineering team with the oversight over one or more Countries/Regions.
**Responsibilities**
Team Leadership and Strategy
- Leads a multi-role team of SEs, GSAs and (at a later stage) Edge Specialists
- Provides leadership and direction to a team of individual contributors in defining and executing on strategic Sales plans and efforts
- Aligns with GAM and Channel team sales leadership's vision, strategy, and objectives
- Aligns with xScale department of Global Technical Sales to provide single points of contact for the customer
- Drives skills development, selling and/or technical sales support behaviors
- Creates spirit of collaboration, engagement, and sharing of best practices
- Leads team through changes
- Drives team adoption of relevant tools available for more efficient business management
- Drives optimization of the team's way of working and effectiveness. This is an important day1 task
Sales Leadership & Acumen
- Develops and aids in defining the business objectives and expertise levels for the regional or multi-regional teams
- Drives strategic deals and interacts with C-level executives
- Responsible for the GAM team's global technical sales support structure design and proposal of technical solutions
- Conducts internal Quarterly Business Reviews, measuring performance against pre-established business metrics
- Leads team through changes
- Owns and manages all escalations to senior leadership for critical matters
- Assists in efforts to shape and impact deals for the metro/local team
- Effectively manipulates MRR vs NRR/EIS offsets and how they can be leveraged to bring a deal to positive outcome
- Able to accurately convey business concepts inter-departmentally
Employee Management & Team Health
- Provides leadership in shaping and managing a multi-regional team in their technical sales support pursuits
- Provides direction for the organization, including the leadership team, to ensure overall success
- Allocates and optimizes resources within regional or multi-regional team
- Responsible for all hiring decisions and activities, compensation, quarterly conversations, performance counseling, onboarding, coaching and career development
- Defines and drives the performance and results of the team
- Supports and shapes individual career development and team giveback to the larger organization
- Assists in defining and shaping positive team dynamics
Analytics/Reporting
- Assists in defining and delivering the strategy to build analytical data and dashboards to properly manage the regional/multi-regional technical sales teams
- Assists in the definition of analytic tools and reports to properly manage resources
- Utilizes feedback to refine team performance and customer satisfaction
Collaboration and Communication
- Develops and refines management relationships with internal teams (CSM/CPM, OM, Ops, etc.) to ensure proper deal flow
- Develops collaboration within the Channel sales motion
**Qualifications**
- 10+ years customer facing experience in related industry preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or IT preferred
- Proven leadership experience (this is not necessarily previous management experience)
