**Experience**: A minimum of three years of experience in energy, environmental policy, technology, business, or law, including experience with international or foreign policy matters, written research and analysis, project organization, and building contact networks. This experience must be of relevance to international or multilateral affairs and diplomacy, or energy/science/technology/economic/foreign policy is required.**Languages: THESE WILL BE TESTED**

English - Fluent; speaking/reading/writing, may include the ability to translate.

Demonstrated knowledge to analyze complex U.S. and global energy and/or technology-related developments.

Experienced knowledge to participate in and ability to support the diplomatic environment and strategic discussions.

Significant abilities to propose, plan, and conduct complex analysis independently, producing accurate reports.

Superior skill in succinct and clear briefings to keep Energy Attaché/DOE-USOECD Office Director and other leaders informed.

Strong attention to detail, particularly with statistical data. Capable of adapting work to shifting work needs.

Excellent writing skills, with the ability to synthesize speeches and government reports efficiently.

Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication abilities.

Skilled in identifying priorities, resolving problems independently, and strategizing to advance U.S. interests and negotiations in a multilateral context.

Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships and discuss energy policy priorities with key stakeholders to gain analytical insights.

Outstanding team player who can express viewpoints and operate independently, while following supervisor guidance. (We may follow through with references to determine how you work in teams).

Must show nimbleness, speed, and flexibility in adapting to frequently shifting work priorities and ability to work under pressure.

Ability to work well in teams and meet deadlines. Proficient in organizing and conducting complex research projects.

Strong organizational skills, including event planning and project management. Creative and computer-savvy, with ability to quickly access and navigate open data sources for energy analysis.

Quick learner with strong analytical skills, able to grasp new information and plan.

Intuitive to the needs and preferences of supervisor.

Receptivity to feedback is essential to ensure his or her own work is well aligned with DOE-USOECD and leadership priorities to deliver desired outcomes.

**SALARY**: the **annual gross salary includes**: the profit-sharing allowance, the vacation allowance, the bonus allowance and the “Comité d’Entreprise” allowance.

**MEAL TICKETS**: Meal tickets have a face value of EUR 8.25/day. 60% of the daily amount is paid by the U.S. Government. An employee contribution of EUR 3.30 per ticket will be deducted in payroll. The number of meal tickets is limited to 202 workdays per year.

**TRANSPORTATION**:Employees are eligible for a reimbursement of 50% of the cost of public transportation passes purchased for commuting purposes.

**HOLIDAYS**: The U.S. Missions in France observe eleven U.S. holidays per year and up to ten French holidays.
