Founded in 2014, Sim&Cure is French digital start-up focused on improving neurovascular treatments of cerebral aneurysm with a proprietary software suite. The Sim&Size software is a Class II medical device with CE mark and FDA clearance that has already been used to treat more than 10,000+ patients in 500+ hospitals in the world.

Through several modules, Sim&Size is a software suite that provides to the physician a 3D visualization of medical images and a computational model of neurovascular implantable medical devices (IMDs). The therapeutic strategy is the most important step of this disease treatment and Sim&Size is now part of it by being efficient, safe, and reproducible. Computational modeling of specific devices in the anatomy of a patient helps the physician to achieve the intended outcome of the intervention.

**Summary**:
We are seeking an R&D Engineer in Artificial Intelligence to join our company's Data Science division.

The recruited staff will actively participate in the development of new AI products, as well as in the rigorous management of data available within the company.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop AI models for medical data analysis (primarily image-based) following a rigorous methodology
- Collaborate with other divisions to ensure alignment between technical solutions and product objectives
- Design and document relevant evaluation protocols to validate model robustness
- Lead the management of the datasets used for model creation
- Participate in defining performance criteria in collaboration with product teams
- Contribute to regulatory documentation required for integrating AI models into the company's product
- Implement systematic validation and testing processes
- Ensure complete traceability of experiments and technical choices

**Must Have**:

- Master's degree or Engineering degree with a strong data component or a more theoretical background, e.g., computer science, mathematics, physics.
- Advanced knowledge of PyTorch framework
- Proficiency in foundational ML algorithms, e.g. clustering, regression, and optimization techniques, as well as DL architectures such as CNNs, autoencoders, and attention mechanisms
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills for assessing the relevance and effectiveness of proposed solutions
- Methodological rigor and attention to detail in managing data and conducting experiments
- Ability to understand and translate business needs into technical solutions
- Excellent communication skills for sharing results and technical choices

**Nice to Have**:

- PhD in Data Science, Machine Learning, or related field with a strong focus on data analysis
- Publicly available portfolio of ML/DL projects
- Around 2 years of experience as a data scientist or in data-related roles
- Startup environment experience
- Experience in medical image analysis
- AWS experience
- Experience in implementing quality processes for AI model development
