**SENIOR IP AND BUSINESS LEGAL COUNSEL**
To reinforce its Legal Department, ensure high quality services and address the business needs of the company, we are seeking an experienced and highly motivated **Senior Legal Expert specialized in Trademark Law, business law and Brand Protection**, eager to join our dynamic Legal team and a diverse and fast-moving high fashioned environment.
This role reports into our Head Legal and will focus on all aspects of trademark law, business law and brand protection in the têxtile/fashion space. DBI is a multi-brand company (DIM, LOVABLE, NUR DIE, ABANDERADO, PLAYTEX, WONDERBRA, LA SENZA,) operating in several countries.
When you work with us, your skills will contribute to preserving our organization's innovative creations and competitive advantage. You will conduct comprehensive searches, analyze prior art, manage and defend the trademark portfolio, draft licensing agreements.
If you have a deep understanding of French and EU IP and business laws and regulations, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders effectively, you're the one we're looking for
**In this role, you will**:
- Manage the registration and maintenance of intellectual property rights, including trademarks, patents, and copyrights.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of IP issues, including infringement and licensing opportunities.
- Monitor and enforce IP rights, including identifying and addressing potential infringements.
- Review, draft and negotiate IP agreements, including licensing, assignments, coexistence and non-disclosure agreements as well as, with other members of the Legal Team and/or internal stakeholders, different contracts across a broad range of areas including marketing, distribution, product design & procurement.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide guidance and support on IP and consumer law matters, including product development, marketing, and branding.
- **Advise on global changes in legislation** and identify opportunities for DBI in your area of expertise. Stay abreast of legal developments and industry best practices in the field. Use of technology and data to drive speed, automation and data driven decision making.
- Assist with the management of IP and/or business law litigation and dispute resolution.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of IP assets and related documentation.
- Raise IP and consumer law culture across the business and ensure compliance with DBI Trademark and contractual Guidelines, including setting new principles as needed. Advise and ensure that internal stakeholders receive sound, practical, and timely legal advice on IP/trademarks and brand protection related matters.
- Develop and implement global and regional trademark strategies to enhance DIM brand value, ensuring alignment to our commercial priorities;
- Create, coordinate and facilitate an internal Trademark Committee;
- Set, forecast, track, and control Trademark / Brand Protection legal spend.

**Essential skills and requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in law, Business, Intellectual Property, or a related field;
- Minimum of 8/10years of experience in business and or consumer law intellectual property management or a similar role;
- Very good knowledge of French and EU regulations/case-laws;
- In-depth knowledge of intellectual property laws, regulations, and procedures;
- Strong analytical and research skills;
- Fluent in English (French would be a plus) with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, allowing you to interact and work on matters with international teams;
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment;
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills;
- Proficiency in legal research tools and databases;
- Experience in negotiating and drafting IP agreements;
- Familiarity with trademark, patent, and copyright registration processes.
