Head of Accounting

We will become the **primary provider** of **electrified last mile delivery services** through **connected solutions** and **vehicles** for our B2B partners and customers.

We are a team of **diverse** peers looking to create a future company which will grow to **100+ collaborators** over the next six months across 3 launch markets.

The **Head of Accounting**is responsible for overseeing managing the accounting operations of the organization and ensuring its compliance with accounting local & international standards.

**Financial Reporting**:

- Oversee and manage the preparation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
- Ensure all statutory and regulatory reporting requirements are met.
- Prepare and present financial performance reports to senior management.

**Accounting Operations**:

- Supervise day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, fixed assets, and payroll.
- Ensure efficient month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data accuracy.

**Compliance and Audit**:

- Oversee internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and ensuring audit readiness.
- Stay updated on changing accounting standards and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Implement policies and procedures to maintain financial compliance.

**Strategic Support**:

- Partner with the CFO and other departments to provide financial insights that drive business decisions.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Identify areas for cost savings and process improvements.

**Systems and Processes**:

- Optimize financial systems, tools, and processes to improve efficiency.
- Ensure proper utilization and maintenance of ERP and accounting software.

**Qualifications** Technical skills**
- Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
- Advanced Excel skills.

**Communication**:Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with stakeholders across all levels.

**Education**: Bachelor’s Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification is required.

**Experience**: Minimum of 8-1010 to 15 years of progressive experience in accounting, including leadership roles.
