What this job involves

The Sustainability Manager will join JLL’s Europe Middle East & Africa (EMEA) Sustainable Operations team, to support the delivery of sustainability products and services contributing to establish and manage strategies and operational processes towards JLL achieving pioneering sustainability and wellbeing goals for JLL’s own workplace portfolio, as well as to leading edge impact for scaling on other client’s portfolios. This is a unique opportunity to oversee and contribute to develop and implement environmental impact reduction strategies as well as solutions to improve health and wellbeing in the workplace.

Engage in setting health and wellbeing targets as well as developing and implementing strategies and projects for enhancing wellbeing at workplace.

Support with coordinating and tracking the implementation of energy-efficiency projects and wider net zero carbon strategy.

Coordinating activities and teams for data gathering, processing and analysis as well as monitoring progress on data processes.

Liaise with stakeholders for establishing and managing consistent and robust data transfer processes;
Liaising with teams to support client’s Energy, Sustainability and Wellbeing objectives.

Drive, with sound technical expertise, operational improvement programmes through the delivery of energy and water conservation measures, coordination of waste audits, and implementation of employee engagement programmes

Support the strategy and operationalising of biodiversity, health and wellbeing improvements at the workplace

Pilot testing and scaling new technologies across the portfolio

Take part in the transaction and office certification processes, delivering sustainability expertise driving client’s decisions.

Engage with JLL Facility Managers to become the key point of contact for the provision of wide-ranging advice in relation to all aspects of environmental sustainability.

Work with the sourcing team to manage the relationship with vendors and waste management contractors

Leading the process of coordinating data management processes for EMEA region supporting decision making activities and operational optimization strategies

Support the operation of the JLL energy and sustainability data management platform in EMEA and enhanced automation of data processes

Supporting and coordinating environmental and wellbeing data analysis for stakeholders of varying seniority to identify trends and opportunities for operational improvement.

Identify poor data quality issues within databases and work with client and teams to include corrective actions, including measures which improve the efficiency of data capture.

Deliver presentations, case studies and support in providing trainings across teams to raise sustainability awareness and engagement across the business.

Desired experience and technical skills
A background in sustainability, engineering, Environmental Sciences, renewable energy, sustainable development or ESG.

Have a passion for sustainability in the built environment and building technologies with a focus on working towards a sustainable future

Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and a desire to provide quality reports, presentations and advice.

Appreciation of the principles of environmental and well-being assessment schemes, such as LEED, BREEAM, WELL, Fitwel etc. and interest to learn more about these certification systems

Show strong analytical skills and a high attention to detail as well as team engagement skills;
Ability to analyse and present complex data sets.

Be a self-starter with an ability to work autonomously as well as within a team;
Flexible, self-motivated with a service-oriented personality and a strong desire to achieve goals;
Promote open, constructive and collaborative relations with colleagues and clients; and

Familiarity with corporate environmental reporting protocols, such as GreenHouse Gas Protocol

Fluent in written and spoken English. French will be a plus.
