**JOB DESCRIPTION**
**Job title**: Customer Service Co-ordinator (French Speaking / bilingual)
Location: France or Cumbernauld, Scotland (Hybrid considered)
Duration: Permanent
**Summary** **/** **Objective**:
This position could be based either in the Samtec office in France (Paris area) or in the Samtec office in Cumbernauld (Scotland).
The Customer Service Co-ordinator will carry out a variety of functions within the customer service group (e.g. liaising directly with customers and other key stakeholder regarding orders, dealing with pricing requests, order entry and customer enquiries). Order entry activities requires a high level of efficiency and accuracy. It also requires management of sample requests, customer calls and price requests. The customer service role is predominantly computer based.
The role is dedicated to working with the customer service team and customers in France. Fluency in French is essential, ideally as a first language. English is an essential skill, but not necessarily as a first language. The ability to speak another language is an advantage.
**Essential Functions** **/ Responsibilities**:
- Process customer orders using company systems and tools
- Provide customer quotes as required
- Liaise directly with customers and communicate directly with customers on the telephone, as required
- Provide technical and commercial data
- Fulfil requests for new customer samples and purchase orders via customer portals, EDI, order entry queue, and the website.
- Review customer purchase orders for special instructions and quality requirements, coordinating with the compliance team as needed.
- Process and maintain customer change order requests.
- Monitor the ‘pull in program’, coordinating with Shipping on requirements as needed.
- Check details of terms regarding orders.
- Travel to the office in France will also be required.

**Required Experience**:
- Experience in a customer service is essential.
- A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and other Microsoft packages is essential.
- French language is essential (ideally a natural French speaker).
- Experience in a data entry is essential.
- Be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and follow up skills.
- Effective time management and the ability to manage multiple tasks are also essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with a remote team.
- Be able to demonstrate flexibility, good customer service, innovation and ability to look for win/win solutions.
**Preferred Education** / Experience**:
- Excellent French language skills.
- Experience in an office environment.
- Technical background would be an advantage.
- Strong computer skills are essential.
- Experience of working autonomously
**Training required**: On the job training will be given.
