**WHO ARE WE?**

**SBM Crop Protection **is the crop protection product specialist for the SBM Group’s agricultural market. We **invest 10% of our turnover in the R&D of sustainable and safer solutions** for farmers, the environment and consumers in Europe and North Africa. Despite an increasingly stringent regulatory context, we have obtained more than **90 authorizations over the last 15 years**. Thanks to SBM Crop Protection, SBM is now recognized as the specialist for protecting against soil pests with **Belem 0.8 MG** and **SuccessGR**, alternatives to neonicotinoids.

**MISSION**

The job holder is responsible for obtaining and maintaining the registrations allowing the company to sell products in accordance with the defined strategy (in collaboration with the Commercial and the Development teams), in Europe and North Africa.

**MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES**

**1.Regulatory strategy definition**
- Based on a deep understanding and follow up of the Regulatory environment,
- reviews data available on active substance and final product considering the registration guidelines in force
- makes recommendations about the projects, including both final products and active ingredients, that can be developed in a sustainable way;
- defines the regulatory strategy and actions depending on the targeted countries and understands the member states authority’s requirements;
- decides the studies to be done
- Defines the timelines by getting through all the different internal and external stakeholders.
- Gives its input in terms of investment (budget).

**2. Registration dossiers preparation and follow-up**
- Generates the data necessary for the preparation of the dossiers (phys-chem, analytics, tox, ecotox, residues), by coordinating the implementation of the studies with the laboratories, and by monitoring them directly or through consultants.
- Writes the registration dossiers with the support of internal or external resources when needed.
- Leads the communication with the Authorities to ensure the progress of the evaluations, and answers properly the data requirements and ensures that SBM’s interests are taken into account, with the support of internal or external resources.

**3. Regulatory compliance and support to business**
- Ensures that the products portfolio is compliant with in force laws and regulations and reviews the labels accordingly with the support of internal or external resources.
- Provide the business with any ongoing registration issues or tendencies that may impact the business and the budget by being kept informed through a constant communication with the local regulatory contacts (internal resources or external consultants) and the industry associations working groups.

**4. Archiving**
- Archives the registration data (phys-chem, analytics, tox, ecotox, residues) and ensures the data base maintenance.

**TECHNICAL SKILLS (Optional)**
- Knowledge on the Plant Protection Products Regulation 1107/2009/EC and affiliated regulations such as 283/2013/EC and 284/2013/EC
- Knowledge on the Biostimulants Regulation 2019/1009/EC
- Knowledge on the EPPO guidance documents and EFSA guidelines.
- Good level in English (read and spoken)
- Experienced in the use of Pack Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)

**EDUCATION (Optional)**
- Master’s degree in Agricultural, Biology, Toxicology or Chemistry Sciences.

**EXPERIENCE (Optional)**
- 5 years of experience in a similar position

**Permanent position in Ecully to be filled as soon as possible.**
**Remote work 2 days / week.
