Analyst, Trade and Customs

We are seeking a motivated Global Policy Analyst - Trade and Customs to cover for a maternity leave and support ICC's global policy engagement on international trade issues.

**About this job opportunity**

We are seeking a motivated **Global Policy Analyst - Trade and Customs** to cover for a maternity leave and support ICC’s global policy engagement on international trade issues. This role offers a unique chance to help shape policy positions, support advocacy efforts, and assist in ICC’s international engagements. It also involves supporting our work within the ‘Global Trade and Investment’ and ‘Global Customs and Trade Facilitation’ ICC commissions, which advocate for policies that promote global trade and an open economy at intergovernmental and regional bodies such as WTO, WCO, and more.

**The role**

Your will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of activities, such as:

- Conducting research and analysis on trade policy, compiling insights from ICC members to inform ICC’s policy positions;
- Monitoring international trade and customs policy discussions, negotiations, and developments;
- Drafting materials and communications to keep ICC members informed and engaged;
- Contributing to ICC’s advocacy by drafting talking points, briefing notes, presentations, and other written inputs.
- Supporting the planning and execution of ICC meetings, workshops, and events, including liaising with participants, preparing materials, and ensuring smooth delivery;
- Supporting outreach efforts to engage ICC members and external stakeholders;
- Providing clear and concise reporting on activities, progress towards objectives, and outcomes.

**Your profile**
- Have at least one or two years of experience in international trade policy, international relations, or a related field;
- Have strong research skills with proven ability to monitor, understand and keep informed of ongoing policy developments, processes and decisions;
- Enjoy working collaboratively;
- Can demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Possess outstanding organisational skills with excellent critical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines;
- Have a proactive mindset with the ability to work independently when required;
- Are fluent in English. Additional language skills would be a plus.
