**What You will do**

The Market Development Director navigates all sales teams, verticals and markets working with our leadership and sales talent to generate sales opportunities and the cultivation of pipeline growth through demand generation activities. Extensive retail relationships are required in order to elevate and position the Sensormatic Solutions brand effectively with Tier 1 Global retailers. Effectively and strategically network the target organization and increasing critical contact relationships to build and maintain an attitude of vigilance for opportunities as well as developing relationships with local advisors and partners for these opportunities. This role will Identify and escalate market trends to appropriate clients and Sensormatic Solutions leaders.

**How you will do**

The focus of the Market Development Director Role is that of a ‘player/coach’ and has two primary focal points. These are:
Market Facing:

- A digital, future focused salesperson
- Representing Sensormatic at Events and forums as necessary
- Building a social media brand as a thought leader in the relevant space
- Design and develop specific local Go-To-Market strategies that align with corporate direction
- A clear focus on Marketing needs and lead generation requirements for the sub-Region
- Business development aligned with sub
- Regional direction
- Identifying opportunities for professional services and retail consultancy engagement

Internal Facing:

- For all opportunities you will engage with local sales people to build the opportunity team which will increase knowledge in the broader group
- Lead by example
- Support customer meetings in local language, local culture to ensure improved conversion rates
- Through leading by example, you will help us train our selling community ‘on the job’ which will help us to identify future talent
- Supporting opportunity progress, increasing conversion ratios of complex deals
- Identifying professional services and consultancy engagement opportunities

This position for Sensormatic Solutions is responsible for acquiring new clients and increasing penetration into existing customers. It requires a results-driven Executive with a business development background that has achieved success as an advisory seller and thought leader in our highly competitive market. Extensive experience in developing Executive-level relationships and partnering with clients and stakeholders is required. Key attribute for being successful in this position is the ability to gain a high level of trust from both clients and internal team members.

- Succeeds at the ‘Art of what’s Possible’ in creating and defining solutions to complex retailer business problems
- Business/financial management expertise
- Ability to act as a Strategic Partner, Trusted Advisor
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- MBA is p referred
- Significant knowl ed ge of the Retail Industry at large as well as the critical players in all facets of the market
- Fifteen or more years of industry and/ or client relationship experience
- Ability to work with cross functional teams in order to achieve customer objectives
