YOUR ROLE
As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of key project cargo accounts, driving business growth and market penetration in a particular industrial vertical(s).
Your primary focus will be on building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions. Additionally, you will play a critical role in acquiring new business opportunities and turning them into long-lasting partnerships.
This role requires a deep understanding of key industrial sectors and customer requirements, enabling you to proactively propose innovative solutions that meet both customer objectives and the company’s business goals.
You will also be expected to contribute to strategic discussions, sharing insights and ideas to further enhance the organization and its offerings.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Manage, maintain, and expand a portfolio of key project cargo accounts across various industry verticals
Lead efforts in market sizing, segmentation, and penetration to drive business growth within the regional market
Build and nurture strong relationships with decision-makers and negotiators within key accounts, acting as the voice of the customer to ensure initiatives meet requirements and boost customer loyalty
Play a vital role in the development and execution of sales strategies, action plans, and commercial initiatives aimed at meeting or exceeding business growth targets
Serve as the main point of contact between clients and project teams, ensuring customer requirements are effectively communicated and initiatives align with client needs
Oversee the full lifecycle of projects, maintaining close contact with clients at every stage to ensure satisfaction and successful delivery of services
Prepare annual sales budgets, compile and report on customer performance metrics, and conduct regular client visits and presentations to showcase service capabilities and offerings, performances and project proposals
Collaborate closely with the sales organization and the pricing and commercial desks, ensuring aligned efforts and strategies
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Postgraduate degree in International Trade or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in sales, operations, or shipping activities, ideally within the project cargo sector
Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is essential, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels of an organization
Demonstrated ability in business negotiations, problem-solving, and strategic thinking
Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel and other Office tools
A proven track record of working both independently and as part of a team, with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
An in-depth knowledge and appreciation of the project cargo market and environment is highly desirable and will be considered a strong plus
Previous experience as a Key Account Manager or in a similar role is highly desirable.
