You will join the ESG global coordination team in order to strengthen and deploy the ESG strategy of the Mérieux NutriSciences group. You will work on developing systems and processors to collect data on ESG initiatives carried out within the group. Structuring relevant reporting and monitoring platforms to communicate this information internally and externally.
Reporting to the Global Purchasing and Sustainable Environment Director you will be accountable for the following missions:
**1. Support to ESG transversal coordination**
- Connect with internal experts to gather best practices
- Data collection and benchmark of competitors and regulatory requirements on sustainability initiatives at the global level
- Contribute to the deployment and communication of the long-term ambition (ESG company annual report)
- Helping the company to improve sustainability rating scores from external organizations such as Ecovadis or SEDEX
- Creating & animating the sustainability internal community
- Update of the materiality matrix
**2. Carbon footprint**
- Manage the carbon footprint calculator tool and work on data collection process and synthesis
- Develop toolkits to train local ESG coordinators on the tool and employees’ ESG awareness
- Seek for projects to be rolled out in the company
- On demand support countries to evaluate local projects impacts
- Define action plan to improve data quality on Scope 3
**3. Collaboration with regional Purchasing referents** and follow up on Ecovadis supplier portal (subscription, ranking, etc)
**YOUR PROFILE**
- Business or Engineer degree specialized in Environment, Sustainability, ESG/CSR
- You benefit from 3 to 5 years experience of CSR projects or role within a company or NGO
- Knowledge of ESG reporting standards (such as GRI) and sustainability rating platforms (such as Ecovadis) is desirable,
- You are diligent, organized, with a strong attention to details
- You enjoy teamwork, have good interpersonal and communication skills, especially in an global setting
- You are dynamic, autonomous, assertive and proactive
- You speak fluent English and the ability to produce high quality written reports
- A trip of a few weeks abroad could be considered.
