**Summary / purpose of the position**
Ipsen Consumer HealthCare is committed in building a sustainable and winning business which requires to build a solid and differentiated Consumer HealthCare portfolio. Hence, its ability to elaborate and launch new products & manage product life cycle (LCM) as defined by the strategic plan in an efficient manner is of critical importance.
Within the framework of the Global Consumer HealthCare Division strategy, the Global Portfolio Development Project Leader will take responsibility for leading LCM projects all the way from product concept to market launch with the aim of commercializing added-value products, according to timelines, budget and quality standards. He/She elaborates and leads key internal and external collaborations in various fields (Pharmaceuticals, Medical device, Food supplements, Probiotics ) to maximize Ipsen Consumer HealthCare’s profitable sales and market share growth.
Reporting to the Global Portfolio Development Director, the Global Portfolio Development Project Leader is responsible for driving the execution of his/her assigned LCM projects according to the Target Product Profile (TPP).
He/She leads the LCM Project Team and is accountable for efficient & smooth coordination of all functions involved in the allocated LCM projects (Industrial Affairs, CMC Development, Quality, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, Commercial Operations, IP & Trademark,.).
He/She is the first point of contact for any issues or discrepancies arising in the organization before the problem escalate to the Ipsen CHC Innovation Board. Project Leader strives to maintain the progress, mutual interaction and tasks of various parties in such a way that it reduces the risk of overall failure, maximizes benefits, and minimizes costs.
He/She contributes to Ipsen CHC LCM innovation through regular scouting and benchmarking, in coordination with expert functions.
He/she is responsible for initiating and consolidating the business case and regularly check the business value of the new products.
**Main responsibilities / job expectations**
- Project scoping
- Assist in the definition of LCM project scope and objectives in collaboration with senior management, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Define the project resources like workforce with appropriate skills, budget, external resources, equipment, etcneeded to accomplish project objectives.
- Project planning
- Develops a detailed project work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project.
- Ensures that all steps of the project plan are anticipated, planned, coordinated and followed-up according to project milestones to result in the most efficient way.
- Consolidates inputs from all functions involved in the project.
- Project management
- Lead the LCM Project Team that will contribute to the project plan implementation and provides appropriate leadership to the team. Manages internal resources and third parties for the flawless execution of projects. Potentially coordinate the contribution of third parties such as academics, suppliers
- Executes the project according to the project plan and ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget and commercially viable.
- Reviews the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards.
- Manages changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
- Performs risk management to minimize project risks.
- Contribute to Set-up process & standards for Project Management.
- Responsible for the implementation of actions associated to quality objectives approved by the top management.
- Product launch
- Coordination of product launching activities with HQ and local organizations (Marketing, Regulatory, Medical, industrialization and supply, countries).
- Contribute to constantly improve process & standards for product launches (guidelines, best practices, monitoring tools, project management tools ).
- Post-launch: follow-up of Key Performance Indicators via the Launch Dashboard
- Project reporting
- Develops detailed forms and records to document project activities.
- Measures project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Monitors and tracks the progress of the project and adjust as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project.
- Monitors and tracks the budget of the project and ensure that all financial records for the project are up to date.
- Responsible for preparing relevant project update to CHC Innovation Board
