**Description**

Ensures the development and validation of friction materials for customers, according to CBI design rules and focus on standardization respecting customer requirements, cost and quality
Responsible for the definition and management of friction standards deployed in Hitachi Astemo, Generic Product Specifications, new test procedures and measurements technics.

**Key Activities**:
**Projects**
- Define friction specifications based on performance requested by customers and ensures their respect
- Ensure support to Friction Engineers for development and validation of friction materials

**Supplier Management**
- Contribute to friction supplier selection in accordance with customer expectations
- Manage supplier relation and ensures the compliance with customer specifications
- In collaboration with suppliers, develop new technics on friction measurement to ensure optimization of performance

**Knowledge Management**
- Manage friction standards and tests procedures
- Develop and maintains the friction catalogue
- Shares his expertise within the company (community, training, escalation )

**Friction Management**
- Manage the P&L allocated to his activities
- Define the friction roadmap, the goals to achieve and the deadlines in collaboration with the internal friction purchasing team

**Team Management**
- Foster a climate of teamwork and motivation within the team by encouraging entrepreneurship mindset, professional development and growth of employees (assessment, training, coaching and mentoring).
- Ensure the deployment of the Chassis Brakes International communication to the team
- Ensure appropriate work environment for the team
