Job Title: Global Account Director – Banking
Location: Paris, France (Hybrid split, x1/2 days per week in office)
About the Role
My client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Global Account Director to own, lead and grow key relationships within three core French banking customers. Based in Paris, the successful candidate will serve as the primary executive-level contact for these major French financial institutions who have global reach, driving long-term commercial success and ensuring exceptional delivery of complex, multi-market solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Account Leadership:
Develop and execute long-term account strategies across these key customers, focused on revenue growth, client retention, and market expansion. - Executive Relationship Management:
Build strong, trusted relationships with C-level and senior stakeholders within these customers, acting as a strategic advisor and industry expert. - Commercial Growth:
Identify and convert opportunities for new business, cross-selling, and upselling across business units, regions, and solution portfolios. - Global Coordination:
Lead and coordinate international account teams to deliver consistent service and support across regions, ensuring alignment on goals, strategy, and execution. - Solution Development:
Work closely with product, delivery, and professional services teams to shape and tailor offerings that address evolving market and client needs. - Market Insight & Thought Leadership:
Maintain deep understanding of the French banking industry, including regulatory changes, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies. - Performance & Reporting:
Own revenue targets, forecasting, pipeline management, and strategic account reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
- 10+ years (ideally more) of experience in strategic enterprise level account management within major French universal banks, in particular you must have had extensive exposure/engagement within
BNP Paribas (
BNP
), Crédit Agricole (
CA
), and Société Générale (
Soc Gen
)
as
they operate a diversified business model that includes a full range of services spanning
retail and commercial banking
as well as
corporate and investment banking
. - Proven track record managing global or multi-country accounts in the French banking market.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to engage and influence C-suite audiences.
- Experience with complex solution sales, technology platforms, or large-scale consulting engagements is highly valuable.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing cross-functional and cross-regional teams.
- Excellent communication skills plus "mother-tongue" French and fluent English to business level.
