Mission
Own The Entire Legal Function To
- Protect Qevlar through sound commercial contracts
- Ensure compliance with GDPR, SOC 2, and security requirements
- Support corporate governance and equity matters
- Enable the business to move fast while managing risk
Scope and Responsibilities
Commercial Contracts
- Draft and negotiate customer MSAs, DPAs, SOWs
- Review and negotiate vendor contracts
- Create and maintain contract templates
- Support deal velocity without sacrificing protection
Data Privacy and Compliance
- Own GDPR compliance program
- Support SOC 2 audit and certification
- Handle security questionnaires (legal sections)
- Manage data processing agreements
Corporate and Governance
- Support board matters (minutes, resolutions, consents)
- Manage equity administration
- Handle corporate governance documentation
- Support corporate structuring (US INC + French SAS)
Who You Are
- 6-10+ years of legal experience, with 2+ years in-house or SaaS-focused
- Strong background in commercial contracts (B2B SaaS preferred)
- Experience with GDPR and data privacy
- Qualified lawyer (French bar, US bar, or equivalent)
- Pragmatic risk assessment approach
- Can work across English and French
