Job DescriptionAbout Visa Commercial Solutions (VCS)
Visa Commercial Solutions helps organisations of all sizes manage payments, working capital and employee engagement more effectively. Our commercial platforms power seamless B2B payments, expense management and benefits delivery across sectors including fleet, travel and employee benefits.
We are growing our Employee Benefits business in Europe and are looking for a Senior Manager to help build and scale strategic partnerships with leading benefit providers and HR platforms.
What you'll be doing
You will lead commercial initiatives that bring Visa's benefits solutions to employers and platforms across Europe. You will work closely with the Employee Benefits European lead, sales and product teams to turn market insight into scalable partnerships and propositions.
Key responsibilities:
Partner identification and engagement: Identify and assess potential partners (benefit platforms, HR tech providers, fintechs) based on strategic fit, scalability and innovation. Lead outreach, shape clear proposals and nurture long‑term professional relationships.
Commercial structuring: Collaborate with VCS sales, legal and finance teams to design and finalise partnership frameworks, including commercial terms, go‑to‑market models and integration plans, ensuring they align with Visa's strategic, regulatory and compliance requirements.
Pipeline management: Build and maintain a clear, structured pipeline of Employee Benefits opportunities. Own CRM updates, provide regular leadership visibility and help move opportunities through each stage of the deal lifecycle.
Client co‑creation: Work directly with strategic clients to understand workforce needs and co‑develop benefits propositions that help people save, spend and borrow effectively. Facilitate workshops, gather feedback and refine concepts with Visa product teams.
Internal advocacy: Represent client and market perspectives within Visa Commercial Solutions by sharing insight on trends, partner opportunities and strategic considerations through presentations and cross‑functional sessions.
End‑to‑end delivery: Guide partners and clients from early exploration and solution design through evaluation, contracting and launch, before transitioning relationships to account teams for ongoing management.
Performance optimisation: Define KPIs for benefit partnerships and monitor performance post‑launch, using data‑driven insights to improve propositions and drive adoption across target segments.
Product innovation: Collaborate with product and technology teams to evolve Visa's digital‑first benefits solutions beyond traditional card‑based offerings.
What you bring
This section focuses on core skills and experience; you do not need to meet every point to be considered.
- Experience in business development, partnerships or commercial roles in payments, fintech, HR tech, benefits or related sectors.
- A strong track record of sourcing, structuring and closing partnership or B2B deals in a complex stakeholder environment.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with senior external partners and internal teams across sales, product, legal and finance.
- Confidence working with data (for example, KPIs and performance dashboards) to inform decisions and optimise outcomes.
- Clear and confident communication skills, including presenting to senior stakeholders and facilitating workshops.
- Experience working in a European or multi‑market context is beneficial but not essential.
- If you do not meet every requirement but believe you could be successful in this role, you are encouraged to apply.
What's in it for you
- Opportunity to shape a growing Employee Benefits business within a global organisation.
- Exposure to innovative partners across fintech, HR tech and benefits.
- Competitive benefits package (for example, pension, healthcare and other employee benefits in line with local markets).
- Flexible/hybrid working and support for work - life balance (tailor this to your policies).
- Learning and development opportunities, including access to internal mobility and global projects.
Experience
- Experience in senior‑level B2B sales, ideally related to digital products or solutions.
- Experience in employee benefits, HR technology, or commercial payments.
- Experience working with fintechs, ISVs, or embedded finance platforms is beneficial.
Knowledge Areas
- Understanding of sales processes and the stages of a commercial cycle.
- Familiarity with the European benefits landscape and relevant regulatory frameworks.
Skills & Competencies
- Ability to support new customer acquisition and manage opportunities throughout the sales cycle.
- Ability to collaborate across teams to build strong networks, address complex challenges, and represent Visa effectively to external partners.
