Contexte

The Project Manager is part of the Trading Projects, Derivatives & Clearing reporting to the Head of Trading Projects, Derivatives & Clearing. The Trading Projects, Derivatives & Clearing team is made up of Project Managers and Product Owners whose expertise varies from finance, clearing to IT.

The project manager for Derivatives & Post trade coordinates and provides guidance in every step of the business projects, ensures the project is adequately structured including all required stakeholders, identifies risks and mitigating factors, drives the partners in the overall delivery of new services, monitors and reports progress transparently, intervenes where needed, manages expectations and ensures adequate delivery.

The Project Manager will also be required to coordinate and support strategic initiatives/special projects which require a high level of seniority as it involves direct interaction with important Executive Management members both within the company and externally.

Projects are varied, such impacts as new product launch, introduction of new features and services or expansion to the new markets, technical migration, integration with other departments, regulatory changes, business protection, or internal CCP and CSD resilience. They require collaborating closely with multiple teams across the organization but also within the group. The projects cover the full project lifecycle, from the moment requirements are drafted to the launch of the service in production.

Missions

  • Manage projects in line with the organization's Project Management policy
  • Plan, direct and co-ordinate activities to manage and implement complex projects from contract/proposal initiation to final operational stage
  • Lead the project teams in determining business requirements and translating requirements into operational plans
  • Plan, schedule, monitor and report on activities related to the project, and manage all the project lifecycle milestones and deliverables
  • Work with the Product Owner on the project description: collect rationale, business case, impacted clients, impacted systems, roadmap, mapping of other key internal & external stakeholders
  • Ensure the Product Owner has drafted requirements and shared with internal stakeholders in due time; check they are complete and follow-up on missing items
  • Track IT delivery, with or without an IT PM, depending on the size and complexity of the project: specifications, sizing, timeline, development, test, dress rehearsals, implementation
  • Collaborate with Sales and Operations teams to build a client tracker, and identify the client journey and sales milestones to secure the project
  • Set up and manage project governance: project & steering committee, project Gates as per the PM policy, escalation calls, dedicated workstream meetings, etc. The PM will be expected to prepare material, present when relevant, organise speakers, draft minutes and follow up on actions
  • Build a RACI matrix for the project, clearly stating the various parties' roles and responsibilities, and obtaining their sign off
  • Determine, monitor and review all project economics, including costs, operational budgets, staffing requirements, resources and risk
  • Track project spend via tools used by the organization and review financial reporting
  • Manage key project deliverables: risk log, action log, timeline, KPIs, reporting, decision log, change request governance, etc.
  • Oversee, coordinate and sometimes draft internal and external communications
  • Identify, manage, escalate, track issues and risks diligently; actively propose options for open issues, anticipate risks and provide acceptance criteria alternatives
  • Ensure all internal readiness actions are properly identified and tracked
  • Secure regulatory non-objection in collaboration with Regulatory, Product and Risk teams
  • Animate business work stream by setting deliverables, owners, deadlines, quality
  • Communicate effectively towards clients and all other project stakeholders
  • Monitor closely business acceptance criteria, customer readiness, regulatory requirements and progress

Profil Recherché

  • At least 5 years' project management experience, delivering projects from start to finish
  • Ability to draft presentations, memos, manage excel sheets (e.g. trackers), draft minutes, action plans, manage risk logs
  • Proactive, rigorous and driven: will pick up on a topic, make sure risks are addressed and issues are solved, review a deliverable thoroughly before validation and will check consistency across instances
  • Strong communication skills, in matrix environment, with various stakeholders and teams
  • Stakeholder management and leadership skills, with the ability to inform business decisions to achieve shared objectives
  • Excellent organizational, time management and coordination skills – structured approach, rigorous analysis and follow-up
  • Strong analytical/problem solving mindset with the ability and willingness to get into the details to find solutions
  • Strong customer focus with the ability to understand and anticipate the customer needs
  • Ability to manage multiple topics in parallel
  • Ability to adjust and manage newly identified challenges and risks, with identification of clear solution or mitigation actions, owners and timeline
  • Ability to deep dive into a topic, even when not an expert, and understand key principles, impact, risks & issues, decisions to be made, and to summarize it for senior management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, working with teams from various locations and departments, and interacting with varying levels of seniority across the organization
  • Experience of working in a matrix management environment and coordinating resources
  • Experience working in an international and culturally diverse organization is a plus
  • Capacity to acquire rapidly a good understanding of market models, service models, processes and technology solutions
  • Strong conflict management skills and resolution guidance
  • PMP certification is a plus
  • Knowledge of financial markets is a plus
  • Mastering of PowerPoint and Excel is a must
  • Mastering of English as a working language is a must. French, Italian are a plus
