Job Title: QA Automation Engineer

Experience: 4+ Years

Notice Period: Immediate Joiner Only

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the team to define the testing scope for new features and participate in all Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives).
  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated and manual test cases for functional, regression, and integration testing.
  • Create and maintain test plans, test environments, and test data, and manage defects using JIRA.
  • Expand automation test coverage and enhance framework capabilities.
  • Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, or similar).
  • Set up and manage nightly test execution environments and share execution reports.
  • Apply AI-driven QA techniques, including self-healing test scripts, AI-based defect prediction, and intelligent test case generation.
  • Convert user stories and acceptance criteria into effective test plans and scripts.
  • Collaborate with developers and product teams to identify, track, and resolve defects.
  • Contribute to both automation (70–90%) and manual testing (10–30%) as needed.
  • Continuously evaluate new QA tools, frameworks, and best practices to improve test efficiency and coverage.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 4–5 years of professional experience in QA Automation using Selenium.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language: Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Experience with TestNG, Maven, and BDD/TDD or data-driven frameworks.
  • Excellent command of XPath creation and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, Redmine, or HP ALM.
  • Exposure to AI-powered QA tools (e.g., KaneAI, Testim, Functionize, mabl, QASE, Applitools Eyes).
  • Experience using AI-assisted coding platforms like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Windsurf.
  • Experience working with Git/SVN repositories for code management.
  • Hands-on experience integrating with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions).
  • Strong debugging, analytical, and communication skills.

Good-to-Have Skills

  • Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines from scratch.
  • Experience in mobile automation tools such as Appium.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based testing platforms (Perfecto, Sauce Labs, LambdaTest, BrowserStack).
  • Exposure to additional automation tools like Playwright, Cypress, RestAssured (API testing), or AUTO IT.
  • Knowledge of performance testing (JMeter/LoadRunner) and security testing principles.
  • Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes for test environment setup and management.
  • Experience working with large datasets or AI/ML-based analytics for QA optimization.
