Operations Manager
to oversee the day-to-day operations of our
French Operations division,
with a strong focus on
warehouse and stock management
. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth planning, coordination, and execution of events by managing resources, staff, inventory, transportation, and timelines effectively.

As an Operations Manager at GES France, your key responsibilities will be:

Operations Management

• Oversee daily operations to ensure efficient event workflows.
• Align with project/account managers and tech teams on event needs.
• Track timelines and adjust resources to meet deadlines.

Warehouse Management

• Manage inventory, equipment upkeep, logistics, and warehouse operations.
• Maintain WMS for accurate asset tracking and availability.
• Ensure proper equipment storage, maintenance, and dispatch.
• Schedule, train, and oversee warehouse staff performance.

Logistics & Transportation

• Coordinate delivery/pickup of event equipment and materials.
• Manage logistics partners and transport teams for timely, safe transit.
• Develop contingency plans for disruptions or last-minute changes.

Health & Safety / Compliance

• Enforce H&S compliance in warehouse and event settings.
• Maintain records of certifications, risk assessments, and safety checks.

Team Leadership

• Recruit, train, and manage operational staff.
• Promote a positive, safety-focused workplace culture.
• Lead by example and foster team collaboration.

Cost & Asset Control

• Track warehouse/staffing budgets and operational KPIs.
• Report on damage, loss, and efficiency improvements.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have a minimum 5 years of experience in operations management.
• Have experience in the events industry.
• Be a French national, fluent in French and English, both spoken and written.
• Have proven experience managing a warehouse environment with strong understanding of inventory systems and equipment handling.
• Display solid leadership and team management skills.
• Have strong logistical planning and problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be flexible and adaptable with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office and warehouse management software

Salary

This role offers a generous salary, dependent on experience. We operate a reward strategy based on our team members receiving a salary that best reflects their experience and skill level.

Hours of work

You may be required to work evenings and weekends during busy periods to meet the demands of the business, including overseas travel as required.

Annual leave

Our holiday entitlement is 25 days per annum (plus bank holidays and statutory public holidays).
