As part of its development strategy, RATP Dev is positioning itself on the Operations & Maintenance of the Belgrade Metro project. The commercial opening of Line 1 is scheduled for 2030, with two additional lines planned in the following years. From 2026 onward, RATP Dev will contribute to project integration and lead the opening preparations for Line 1.MAIN PURPOSE

The Simulation and RAMS Manager ensures that simulation and RAMS processes are effectively implemented and followed during the Design & Construction (D&C) phase. This role is essential to validate system performance, safety, and reliability, and to support the integration of operational needs into the design.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As part of their role, the Simulation & RAMS Manager will be expected to carry out the following activities to ensure system performance and safety are aligned with O&M expectations:

General

  • Support safety, security, and system assurance processes defined by RDSerbia
  • Contribute to risk and hazard management
  • Participate in the development of management plans
  • Support configuration and change management
  • Contribute to the architecture and implementation of the Document Management System

Simulation

  • Implement infrastructure and rolling stock models in Railsys
  • Validate journey time, turnback time, availability, and performance
  • Prepare simulation reports with technical assumptions and outcomes
  • Challenge contractor designs to optimize safety, performance, and energy efficiency
  • Assess design changes and report technical issues to the O&M Integration and Readiness Directors

RAMS

  • Review mission profiles and RAM methodologies used by D&C
  • Monitor asset data registers and define the installed asset baseline
  • Define and control Life Cycle Cost (LCC)
  • Assess RAM studies and KPIs (MTBF, MTTR, system failure performance)
  • Contribute to SPMS development and operational simulation data
  • Review and challenge spare parts and tools calculation methodologies
  • Assess performance demonstration strategies

EXPERIENCE

  • Proficiency in RAMS processes, hazard analysis, verification and validation
  • Expertise in railway simulation and performance analysis
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English
  • Experience in risk management and system assurance
  • Ability to challenge design proposals and optimize system performance
  • Familiarity with configuration and change management processes

QUALIFICATION

  • Degree in Engineering or B.Sc./M.Sc. in Physics, Electronics, Power Supply, or Computer Science
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the railway sector (driverless metro experience is a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of EN50126:2017 and ISO 50216 standards
  • Experience with simulation tools (e.g., Railsys) and RAMS methodologies
