IOTA Group is looking for FPSO Lead Rotating for a major international offshore development project.
Job Description
Supervise and control the detailed design activities by the main EPC Contractor, securing interfaces definition with the other disciplines such as process, technical safety, ICSS, HVAC, electrical, architectural and with the other work packages of the PLANT.
Detailed Design review: Produce comment in due time, explain to Contractor and follow up the implementation. Duly and timely review of engineering documents related to P&ID, Package instrumentation, field instruments (incl. Material selection, sizing, hookup, layouts, cabling, etc.).
Review and propose answer to possible technical queries related to his/her discipline.
Monitor Rotating discipline studies during engineering (technical, costs, planning, interfaces, reporting).
Coordinate Interfaces Across Disciplines: Ensure proper interface management between rotating equipment and other disciplines (process, HVAC, electrical, safety), and across work packages
Meeting: keep regular and good quality communication with his/her counterpart(s) on Contractor’s side and put in place technical meetings to follow up progress, explain main comments, and provide guidance etc... Challenge the Contractor, to monitor and promote cost saving solutions in the design. Promote alternatives for Rotating equipment design to optimize work and schedule.
Reporting to Engineering Manager with regards to his/her discipline: main technical issue, area of concern, progress, quality etc… Propose mitigation measures when drift is noticed.
Assist Engineering Manager with review of possible change orders, planning constraints etc when related to his/her discipline, project technical reviews, etc
Ensure that design modifications are correctly followed up / implemented by EPC Contractor.
Witness / Participate in the reception and/or FATs for field instruments, packages (when necessary, e.g. valves etc).
Endorse the EPSCC contractor construction deliverables, ensuring that they meet project requirements and standards.
Main actor for the supervision of CONTRACTOR for rotating equipment selection, design, installation and hook up in relation and other discipline engineer.
Ensure / verify EPC contractor provides adequate as-built drawings upon equipment/package after FAT.
During Construction activity, participate to the follow up of construction activities.
Involve him/herself in safety aspects of the construction and report any anomalies noticed on site, when related to his/her discipline. Propose remedial action.
Ensure that the design of installations meets the requirements of the Contract and the local codes, standards and regulation.
Contribute to improving the project lessons learnt and personnel skills.
Prepare for commissioning phase and participate with commissioning team to the supervision. Qualifications ▪ Minimum 15 years of experience in rotating equipment engineering, including at least 3 years on FPSO or similar oil & gas projects ▪ Proven involvement in detailed design, including review of engineering documents, vendor packages, and interface management ▪ Experience with Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), technical bid evaluations, and vendor coordination during engineering phase ▪ Solid knowledge of API, ISO, ASME and other international standards ▪ Ability to support technical audits, HAZOPs, and design reviews with multidisciplinary teams ▪ Exposure to commissioning and pre-commissioning activities, including punch list clearance and system completion ▪ Fluent in English. French being a plus. Additional Information Assignment Conditions 📍 International mobility is essential for this position: Between 1 and 2 years in Paris – France ➡️ Up to 18 months in Singapore ➡️ Up to 18 months in Geoje – South Korea Starting date: October 2026, subject to FID Duration: 1 to 4 years after FPSO Contract Award Renewable: Yes Status: Residential Position based at the EPSCC Contractor premises, with frequent missions aboard.
