At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. From high-speed trains, metros, monorails, and trams, to turnkey systems, services, infrastructure, signalling and digital mobility,
we offer
our diverse customers the broadest portfolio in the industry. Every day, 80,000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars. Could you be Sustainable Depot Solutions Intern in Saint-Ouen, FR we’re looking for? Your future role Join our Services Footprint Development team and help shape solutions for more sustainable railway depots. Working with engineering, services and project teams, you’ll take a systems view of depot operations: how energy, water, facilities and monitoring systems work together, and how solutions can be adapted to different sites and local constraints. You’ll help turn existing studies and experience from current projects into a structured reference that teams can use when developing future depot offers and projects. We’ll look for you to:
• Map existing depot sustainability initiatives, technical solutions and lessons learned across projects.
• Develop a coherent framework covering energy efficiency and renewable energy, water use and reuse, facility management, and monitoring/management systems such as BMS and EMS.
• Identify how these systems interact with depot operations, maintenance needs, site infrastructure and local requirements.
• Compare possible solutions using relevant technical, operational and economic criteria, including implementation constraints and lifecycle considerations.
• Contribute to preliminary business cases for selected solutions, with support from internal teams and specialist engineering partners.
• Package the findings into clear reference material, recommendations and reusable tools for future bids and projects.
• Work with teams across Services, Engineering and regional organizations to test the relevance of the proposed approach. All about you We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:
• You’re completing a Bac+4/Bac+5 degree in engineering, energy, building systems or a related field.
• You have knowledge of building energy systems, water management, BMS/EMS and techno-economic analysis.
• You can connect several technical topics and approach a site as a complete operating system.
• You’re comfortable researching unfamiliar subjects, comparing options and presenting clear recommendations.
• You have an interest in sustainable solutions and the practical challenges of deploying solutions across different countries.
• You work well with people from different disciplines and can communicate clearly in English.
• Eagerness to continuously learn and improve. You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you Important to note As a global business, we’re an equal-opportunity employer that celebrates diversity across the 63 countries we operate in. We’re committed to creating an inclusive workplace for everyone. Profil Bac+4/Bac+5 degree in engineering, energy engineering, building systems or a related field preferred Fluent in English Duration: 6 months – starting Jan-Feb
