Company Description Andrée Putman Studio is a renowned design firm with over 30 years of experience, known for its singular approach to objects and spaces and their meaning in contemporary life. The Studio develops projects guided by a coherent vision of modern lifestyles. Its international reputation is reflected in collaborations with leading hotel groups.
Role Description This is a free-lance contract, on-site role based in Paris for a German-speaking Interior Architect with hotel experience. The role involves designing and developing interior concepts for hospitality projects, from initial sketches and space planning through to detailed interior architecture and fit-out. The Interior Architect will collaborate closely with the artistic director and project teams, prepare drawings, presentations, and material boards, and coordinate with external partners and suppliers. Daily tasks include reviewing plans, refining layouts, selecting finishes and furnishings, and ensuring that all design solutions align with the Studio’s aesthetic and the client’s brand. The role also requires participation in client meetings, site visits, and follow-up during execution to maintain design quality.
Qualifications
• Strong Interior Design and Interior Architecture skills, with proven experience in hospitality or hotel projects.
• Proficiency in Space Planning and Interior Fit-out, including the ability to translate design concepts into practical, buildable solutions.
• Solid grounding in Architecture fundamentals, enabling effective collaboration with architects, engineers, and technical consultants.
• Fluency in German and professional working proficiency in French and/or English to manage international clients and partners.
• Advanced skills in design and documentation software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite).
• Strong visual and conceptual sensibility aligned with luxury hospitality and high-end residential or retail design.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and client-facing skills, with the ability to present and defend design proposals clearly.
• Relevant degree in Interior Architecture, Interior Design, or Architecture and several years of experience in similar roles.
