Fresnes, Ile-de-France uberliss Temps plein
PR Intern / Runner — Uberliss x Paris Fashion Week (Oct 2026) Paris. Four shows. All black. You report to the CEO. Uberliss is the American pro bond + keratin + color brand behind the hair at Paloma Wool, EENK, Matières Fécales and August Barron this Paris Fashion Week. It's a small team on the ground: the lead stylists, their assistants, and Hasan Syed, who runs the company and is running Paris himself. He needs one runner. That's you. No layers. You get your brief from the person who makes every decision, you execute it, you come back with it done, and you already know what's next. Fast, bilingual, unflappable. It's the best two weeks of on-the-job education you'll get this year. WHO YOU REPORT TO Hasan Syed, CEO, Avlon (Uberliss / KeraCare / As I Am). Directly. He is on-site every show day. He gives short briefs, expects a short "done," and will ask you what you'd do next before he tells you. Have an answer. If you don't know, say so and go find out; don't guess and don't say "I think it's handled" — he will check. WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY DO Before the shows (Sept 28 – Oct 3)
- Meet the kit. It ships from Chicago ahead of you; you receive it, count it against the manifest, and flag every shortfall the same day. Aerosol hairspray can't fly, so you'll source Flexin substitutes locally if ground freight is late. Know the manifest by heart.
- Build the Paris backstage-beauty press list with Hasan: French and international editors covering hair this season (Vogue France, Madame Figaro, L'Officiel, Le Monde M, Elle FR, English-language wires, the Substack crowd). Verify bylines. Pull contacts. Tier them.
- Confirm backstage credentials by name with each show's production, in French. Chase every one that doesn't come back within 24 hours.
- Draft the look-breakdown one-pagers in both languages from the stylists' notes; Hasan edits, the lead stylist approves the quote.
- Print and cut: bilingual talking-point cards, station cards, credential lists, run-of-show. Find the print shop near each venue before you need it.
- Map every venue: load-in door, nearest pharmacy/Monoprix for emergency pins, nearest café open at 6, cab stand, Métro routes with boxes. Show week (Oct 4–6 and any dates that add) — the runner job
- First in. Arrive at load-in with the kit before the hair team. Set stations: product label-out, station cards, mirror decals, tools laid out the way the lead stylist works.
- Restock all day. Bottle below a third gets swapped before anyone notices. Backup kit on your shoulder.
- Runs. Coffee at 6. The forgotten cape. Extra pins. A power adapter (US tools, French outlets — have three). If it's needed backstage and isn't there, you're already on the way, and you speak the language to get it.
- Translate. Between the lead stylist and French production, between Hasan and a French editor, between a model's agent and the hair team. Fast, accurate, polite.
- Escort. When Hasan brings an editor to the lead stylist, the path is clear, the stylist is cued, the right product is in your hand for the photo. Interview ends, you log it: name, outlet, asks, contact.
- Shot list. Shadow the photographer with Hasan's list: product in frame at the station, hands-in-hair, finished look, lead stylist portrait. Tick each one. Flag gaps before breakdown; no reshoots.
- Credit-line check. Before doors, walk to the show's press desk and confirm "Hair by ___ for Uberliss" is in the show notes, spelled right. Report to Hasan. This is where credits vanish; you're the last line.
- Gifting. Hand out stylist, model, and assistant kits as Hasan assigns; log who, what, handle.
- Breakdown. Pack out, count back against the manifest, note what's low, get it to the next venue or the hotel. Last out.
- Between shows: restock, re-print, prep the next box, and tell Hasan what you need before he asks. After (Oct 7–12)
- Press sweep, French and English: every clip logged with outlet, link, reach, class.
- Draft thank-yous for Hasan to send, in the right language.
- Pack the kit for return or storage with the Paris stylists; reconcile manifest and gifting log to the unit.
- One page for Hasan: what worked, what broke, what you'd change next season. Take a position. THE RULES (READ THESE TWICE)
- All black, head to toe, every show. Closed-toe shoes you can stand and run in for eight hours. If a photographer would notice you, you're dressed wrong. The models are the product; the crew is invisible.
- You don't sit for the show. Seats are earned-media currency for editors and guests. If one opens day-of, Hasan releases it. You'll be restocking for the finale anyway.
- Zero personal posting from backstage. Nothing before the finale walks, nothing outside the embargo. You'll get your content later, credited.
- You don't pitch, quote, or promise anything to press. Questions go to Hasan or the lead stylist. Your line, in either language: "Let me get you Hasan."
- Uberliss is the only brand backstage. Not the collection, not sales numbers, not sister brands. WHO WE WANT
- Fluent French and English, spoken and written. Non-negotiable; you'll be translating live.
- Student or recent grad in PR, fashion, communication, or event production (IFM, ESMOD, AUP, Sciences Po, anywhere), OR a stylist's assistant / backstage runner / set PA who knows what "40 minutes to doors" feels like.
- Fast, organized, cheerful under pressure. Keeps a list, closes loops, says "done" and means it.
- Anticipates. Sees the low bottle, the missing adapter, the waiting editor, before anyone speaks.
- Comfortable reporting to a CEO who is direct, moves quickly, and will ask you to justify your call. Thrives on that.
- Based in Paris. Fully available Sept 28 – Oct 12, all show days, early and late. Knows the Métro with six boxes.
- Bonus: hair-obsessed, has assisted backstage before, knows the Paris press. WHAT YOU GET
- Paid: €17-22/hr (or gratification de stage per convention), ~20-40 hrs/week for two weeks, transport and meals on show days.
- Full backstage credentials at four PFW shows, working alongside the lead stylists, and two weeks of direct access to a founder-led brand's CEO. Ask him anything on the Métro between venues.
- A portfolio you earned: the manifest, the press list, the interview log, the clips.
- A very good black Uberliss tee and a kit you'll know cold.
- If it goes well: first call when Uberliss is back in Paris for FW27, and a reference from the CEO, not from HR.
