(Senior) Director

Job description
We are seeking a highly analytical and commercially minded (Senior) Director
- Strategy & Chief of Staff to act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership with a direct reporting line to the Management of our Credit Rating Agency. The role combines elements of corporate strategy, business planning, transformation, and executive support. Working closely with the Executive Management of Scope Ratings GmbH, the successful candidate will help shape long-term business strategy, coordinate cross-functional initiatives, support inorganic growth opportunities, and ensure alignment across the organization. This position is ideal for an individual coming from a strategy consulting, corporate development, M&A, investment banking, or strategic planning background who possesses strong financial markets knowledge and excels at influencing stakeholders across complex organizations. Duties & responsibilities Strategic Planning & Business Development
• Support the development and execution of the firm's strategic plan and growth agenda.
• Conduct market, competitive, and industry analyses to identify opportunities, risks, and strategic priorities.
• Translate strategic objectives into actionable initiatives, business plans, and measurable outcomes.
• Prepare executive-level recommendations and decision materials for senior management Chief of Staff & Executive Support
• Serve as a strategic partner for the Management Board of Scope Rating GmbH.
• Coordinate and track key executive initiatives across departments and business lines.
• Drive alignment across functions, ensuring timely execution of strategic priorities.
• Lead preparation of executive meetings, offsites, management reviews, and strategic workshops. Cross-Functional Leadership
• Act as a connector across business functions, breaking down organizational silos and driving collaboration.
• Lead complex, high-impact projects involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
• Facilitate communication between senior management and operational teams.
• Promote execution discipline and accountability throughout the organization. Executive Communication
• Develop clear and compelling presentations and strategic papers
• Distill complex business, financial, and operational information into actionable insights.
• Support internal communication around strategic initiatives and organizational priorities. Professional & personal qualifications
• 8-15+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Background in one or more of the following:
• Strategy Consulting
• Corporate Strategy
• Corporate Development
• Investment Banking
• M&A Advisory
• Strategic Planning
• Experience working directly with executive leadership teams.
• Exposure to financial services, capital markets, credit ratings, asset management, banking, fintech, or related sectors is highly desirable. Compensation Range: The compensation range disclosed may encompass multiple title levels (Scope internal levels of seniority). Your actual compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to your individual experience, education, and seniority, and the final salary will be determined during the interview and evaluation process.
