ABOUT BEDROCK
What if you could help major media companies compete with streaming giants? At Bedrock, that's what we do. We are a European tech venture, powered by leading European broadcasters (M6 and Bertelsmann / RTL Group) that shapes the standards of streaming in Europe. We build and power leading media streaming platforms for some of Europe's biggest SVOD/AVOD players (M6+, Videoland, Hungary, RTL+…), dealing with 45+ millions of users.
At Bedrock, we love challenges, whether they're related to features, scaling, performance or peak traffic. We believe that learning new tricks is a journey and sharing them with peers is definitely part of the fun. We have 450 employees in Paris, Lyon, Portugal & Germany
Head of Distribution Partnerships
Location:
Paris, Lyon or Lisbon
- hybrid working. Contract: Permanent, full-time. Team: Product. Reports to: VP Product. Working language: English. WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS Our clients are content owners, including broadcasters and streaming services, and almost none of them reach their audience alone. Their content reaches viewers through a chain of partners: connected TV manufacturers, mobile platforms, operators and digital distribution platforms. Every one of those relationships shapes a client’s reach and business performance. We are hiring a Head of Distribution Partnerships to help our clients improve their reach through partners, with two complementary
missions:
• Become the person our clients turn to when they want to build or extend a partnership, proactively bringing them opportunities and solutions.
• Help turn partnerships into a repeatable product capability within the Bedrock for Business platform that clients can use in self-service mode. You will drive these missions autonomously, working closely with Product Managers, engineering teams and the VP Product. WHAT YOU WILL OWN Partner and client relationships
• Build and maintain senior relationships with operational, technical and commercial teams across device manufacturers, platforms and operators.
• Maintain a shared map of partner and client relationships: contacts, internal owners, topics, history and open commitments.
• Track certification requirements, publishing policies, in-app purchase rules, revenue-sharing terms and launch dates.
• Alert the relevant Bedrock teams to partner changes before they become delivery issues or incidents. Advisory support for our clients
• Work with client distribution, marketing and product teams to shape their partnership strategy: which platforms to target, where to invest and when pre-installation or featuring creates value.
• Support distribution, pre-installation, featuring and syndication discussions with ecosystem knowledge, benchmarks and relevant examples, rather than negotiating on clients’ behalf.
• Identify new partnership opportunities and build evidence-based recommendations.
• Help clients assess trade-offs between audience reach, commercial value and engineering or operational costs. Partnerships as a product capability
• Develop a vision for which elements of partner integration, certification, onboarding, reporting and contract management can become repeatable capabilities within Bedrock for Business.
• Identify which activities should remain bespoke.
• Work with Product Managers across Bedrock domains to inform roadmap priorities, sequencing and prerequisites. Shared knowledge and scalable ways of working
• Build and maintain a partnership knowledge base covering processes, contacts, integration specifications, contractual commitments and decision history, structured for use by both people and AI agents.
• Transfer routine partner interactions to product and engineering counterparts as relationships mature.
• Produce and share ecosystem analyses and competitive benchmarks on operating systems, device platforms and operator technology trends.
• Represent Bedrock at events such as CES, MWC and IBC, in alignment with company strategy and the VP Product. THE ECOSYSTEM YOU WILL COVER You will prioritize the categories our clients depend on most, agreeing with the VP Product where depth matters most during your first quarter.
• TV manufacturers: Samsung, LG, Sony, Philips, Hisense, JVC, Sharp and Vestel.
• TV operating systems and platforms: Tizen, webOS, Google TV, Android TV, VIDAA, Titan OS, Roku TV and Fire TV.
• Operators and ISPs: telecom operators, MVNOs, cable and satellite operators, and set-top box vendors.
• Digital and aggregation platforms: YouTube, Amazon Channels, Apple TV app and third-party SVOD storefronts.
• FAST and channel syndication: Samsung TV Plus, LG Channels, Pluto, Rakuten TV and Amagi.
• Content and rights partners: sports rights holders, co-distribution and content partners. WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE By day 30: You have met Bedrock domain teams and our main clients’ distribution counterparts. You understand the ten partner relationships that matter most to our clients’ reach and their current status. By day 60: A first version of the partner and client relationship map is live and shared, covering contacts, topics, owners and open commitments. You have documented an initial view of partnership strategy. By day 90: You present your vision for turning partnerships into product capabilities: what becomes product, what remains bespoke, the prerequisites and how success should be measured. By month 6: At least two clients can describe how your work helped them make a better-informed partnership decision. A first product capability arising from your strategy has a place on a domain roadmap, with a Product Manager owner and a delivery slot. By month 12: The roadmap is partly delivered, with measurable results. Teams actively use the knowledge base, routine partner interactions happen without depending on you, and partnerships are part of the Bedrock for Business sales proposition. WHO YOU ARE Experience and expertise
• Seven or more years in partnerships, business development, distribution or platform ecosystem roles, including experience in streaming, broadcast, media technology, consumer devices or telecoms.
• A track record of building lasting partner relationships with measurable outcomes.
• Practical knowledge of app certification, store policies, in-app purchase rules, pre-installation and featuring agreements.
• Experience working closely with product and engineering teams, with the confidence to contribute to roadmap and sequencing discussions.
• Fluent written and spoken English. French or other European languages are a plus. How you work
• You take ownership and can build an approach where no established playbook exists.
• You proactively bring clients opportunities and risks they have not yet identified.
• You remain open to new partnership models as the ecosystem evolves.
• You document knowledge so others can use it.
• You welcome constructive challenge and support your own recommendations with evidence. Nice to have
• Experience turning a service or advisory capability into a platform offering.
• Exposure to a B2B platform serving broadcasters or streaming services.
• Familiarity with AI tools. ROLE SCOPE This is an autonomous individual contributor role with no people-management responsibility. It combines client advisory work, ecosystem relationships and product development. It carries no sales quota, new-logo target or ownership of a sales pipeline.
