Role Summary
The Commercial / Partnership Manager is responsible for identifying, securing, and growing strategic partnerships that generate revenue, expand distribution, and strengthen TJN Ventures Group’s ecosystem.
This role blends relationship-building, deal-making, and commercial execution — turning conversations into signed agreements and measurable outcomes.
Key Objectives (What “Good” Looks Like)
• Build a repeatable pipeline of high-quality partners (referrers, resellers, strategic allies)
• Convert opportunities into signed agreements with clear commercial terms
• Increase qualified leads, conversions, and retained clients through partnerships
• Create a simple partnership system: target list → outreach → proposal → close → onboarding → performance tracking Core Responsibilities
• Partnership Strategy & Targeting
• Define partnership categories (e.g., referral partners, channel partners, community partners, tech/platform partners)
• Build and maintain a target partner list aligned to our mission and commercial goals
• Map partner value exchange:
what we offer
, what we need, and how success is measured
• Outreach, Negotiation & Deal Closure
• Lead outreach via LinkedIn/email/calls and manage follow-ups
• Run discovery calls and qualify partnership fit (values + commercial viability)
• Draft and negotiate partnership terms (with leadership support where needed)
• Own the process from first contact through to signed agreement
• Partner Onboarding & Enablement
• Create onboarding steps and partner “starter packs” (one-pagers, offers, FAQs, referral process)
• Ensure partners understand our services, positioning, and how to refer/sell effectively
• Coordinate internally so delivery teams are ready for partner-driven leads
• Performance Management & Growth
• Track partner performance: leads, conversion rate, revenue, retention, and activity
• Run monthly/quarterly partner check-ins
• Identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities and joint campaigns
• Internal Collaboration
• Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Ops to align messaging and delivery capacity
• Feed back market insights (pricing objections, competitor mentions, partner needs) KPIs / Success Metrics
• Partner-sourced leads and conversions
• Revenue generated via partnerships
• Retention/quality of partner-sourced clients
• Partner activation rate (partners who actually refer/sell) Requirements Required Skills & Experience
• Proven experience in partnerships, business development, account management, or commercial roles
• Strong negotiation skills and confidence handling commercial conversations
• Ability to build trust quickly and manage multiple stakeholders
• Organised pipeline management (CRM discipline, follow-ups, reporting)
• Comfortable working in an early-stage environment with evolving processes Nice to Have
• Experience with UK SME services, professional services, telecoms/VoIP, or B2B subscriptions
• Existing network in communities, agencies, consultants, or SME ecosystems
• Familiarity with CRMs and partnership tracking systems Values & Behaviours (Important Here)

• Clear communicator, proactive, and anti-ghosting mindset
• Ownership mentality: sees a gap and fixes it
