Role Overview Seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Data Centre L2 Engineer with experience in server racking/stacking and structured fiber/copper cabling to support reliable and scalable data center operations. This role is critical to ensuring the integration and expansion of data center environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform rack and stack of servers, network devices, and storage systems according to layout and documentation Execute structured cabling tasks including installation, labelling, testing, and troubleshooting of fibre optic and copper cables Maintain accurate documentation of hardware installations, cable maps, and port assignments Assist with hardware moves, adds, and changes (MACs) in the data center Support remote hands requests from internal teams or external vendors Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adhere to data center access and safety protocols Maintain cleanliness and organization of data center spaces Required Qualifications 2-4 years of experience in a data center or IT infrastructure environment Proven experience with rack and stack of IT hardware Hands-on experience with fiber optic and copper cabling (Cat6, LC/SC fiber) Familiarity with cable management, best practices and labelling standards Good understanding of networking and server hardware Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs. Strong attention to detail and documentation skills Willingness to work in shifts, including nights and weekends if required H0B0 Certification is mandatory.
