Resident Engineer

Bring your electrical engineering experience closer to construction and see design decisions become operational assets. As Resident Engineer (Electrical), you will provide an important technical presence on site, helping ensure electrical installations are delivered in line with design intent, agreed quality requirements and project expectations. You will bridge the gap between design and construction, working with contractors, consultants and engineering teams to identify issues early, review site activities and help resolve technical challenges efficiently. • Monitor electrical installation activities against approved design information.
• Review site works, technical information and electrical installation quality.
• Identify discrepancies, coordination issues and potential technical risks.
• Support the resolution of electrical queries arising during construction.
• Coordinate with design engineers, contractors and wider project stakeholders.
• Participate in inspections, technical reviews and project meetings.
• Maintain clear records of technical issues, actions and site observations. Essential Skills
• Strong electrical engineering knowledge with experience relevant to construction or site delivery.
• Understanding of electrical power distribution and building services systems.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical information.
• Strong problem-solving and multidisciplinary coordination skills.
• Clear communication with contractors, engineers and project stakeholders.
