Theremia is a precision medicine company specialized in neurology and psychiatry, developing artificial intelligence technologies designed to transform complex biomedical datasets into clinically actionable insights.
We’re looking for an experienced data scientist to join us and contribute to the application of causal machine learning algorithms to health real-world data (RWD) to estimate treatment effects and personalise care. This is an exciting opportunity to work on impactful projects at the intersection of AI and healthcare, collaborating with expert data scientists, researchers from academia, renowned clinicians and diverse clients.
Key Responsibilities
• Apply causal ML algorithms on RWD to estimate treatment effects and personalise care.
• Own data science projects end-to-end, scoping, planning, prioritising and tracking delivery against deadlines.
• Mentor junior data scientists and interns: guide methodology choices, review code and support their growth.
• Drive team discussions on ML strategy and methodology, keeping us at the frontier of machine learning and causal inference research.
• Present results and recommendations directly to clients, clinicians and academic partners.
• Shape best practices, internal tooling and a culture of rigorous, reproducible research. Minimum
Requirements:
• PhD or MSc in Data Science, Machine Learning or Applied Mathematics, with significant hands-on experience.
• Solid, demonstrated experience in causal inference and/or applied machine learning research (publications), preferably with healthcare or biological data.
• A track record leading or coordinating projects, or mentoring, within a data science team.
• Strong command of Python/R and Git, with a rigorous approach to reproducibility.
• Experience in presenting projects to internal and/or external/client teams. Ability to make complex results clear to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Genuine curiosity about healthcare and medical science, and energy for a fast-paced environment.
• English professional fluency required.
Benefits:
• Competitive salary & meal vouchers (Tickets Restaurant).
• The opportunity to gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge AI applied to healthcare.
• A dynamic and collaborative work environment with a mission to improve healthcare.
