About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Data Analyst to join our Operational Excellence team. In this role, you will be instrumental in enhancing the efficiency and reliability of energy management processes across a portfolio of buildings. Your primary responsibilities will include real-time equipment monitoring, building performance analysis, savings estimation, and improving the productivity of Energy Managers through data tools. You will work closely with the Tech and Operations teams to develop, deploy, and optimize AI-assisted minimum viable products (MVPs) and long-term solutions. The ideal candidate is passionate about data, automation, and building operations, with a proven track record of delivering impactful tools and solutions in demanding environments. Qualifications
• A master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2 to 4 years of professional experience in data analysis or analytics within high-growth or demanding environments.
• Hands-on experience with data tools such as SQL, Python, BigQuery, Metabase, and Databricks.
• Proven ability to structure complex data sets and automate operational processes.
• Experience applying AI and automation techniques in real-world scenarios.
• Strong ownership and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate across technical and operational teams.
• Excellent communication skills in English and native or bilingual proficiency in French.
• Genuine interest in building operations, energy performance, and sustainable solutions. Responsibilities
• Monitor approximately 500 pieces of equipment in real-time, ensuring early detection of failures and automating alerts or corrective actions to prevent data or energy losses. Aim: detect failures within 10 minutes.
• Analyze building performance to identify when savings fall below break-even points, diagnose root causes, and escalate issues accordingly. Aim: detection within 4 days.
• Forecast achievable energy savings for buildings prior to sales, calibrate models against actual results, and ensure estimation accuracy within 10%.
• Identify operational bottlenecks faced by Energy Managers, such as manual BMS point mapping during onboarding, and develop tools to save at least 30% of their time.
• Structure and organize data to support tool development, working in rapid cycles—delivering AI-assisted MVPs within days, and deploying comprehensive solutions within weeks.
• Collaborate closely with technical and operational teams to ensure solutions are effectively adopted and utilized, measuring impact post-deployment. Benefits
• Opportunity to lead data initiatives that impact hundreds of buildings across Europe.
• Rapid visibility of your work’s impact on energy savings and operational efficiency.
• Be part of a fast-growing company at a pivotal stage, with scope for professional growth aligned with your contributions.
• Collaborative and innovative work environment focused on continuous improvement and automation.
• Exposure to cutting-edge AI and data automation tools in building operations. Equal Opportunity Thermosphr is an equal opportunity employer.
