Javelot is a start-up that aims to become the leader in the digital transformation of post-harvest and grain storage. Supporting the transition to zero storage insecticide, using less energy to cool silos, optimizing logistics flows. Our supervision platform enables our customers (cooperatives, traders and farmers) to be more efficient and responsible. With more than a thousand users and 8 million tonnes of cereals monitored, JAVELOT is the key player in the French market and aims to become the European leader in post-harvest digital transformation. We have just been recognised by French Tech and the French Ministry of Agriculture as one of the 22 most promising start-ups in the agricultural sector (French Tech Agri20 programme) and have just officially raised 10 million euros to achieve our objectives.

It is in this context that we are looking for an International Development Analyst (Intern) based in Paris for a 6 month internship starting as soon as possible.

As an International Development Analyst, working in the international team in Paris, you will be responsible for leading the sourcing of new partners and launching Go-To-Market initiatives in territories where Javelot does not have operations yet.  We are currently opening new markets such as Italy, Denmark, Sweden,UK&I, Bulgaria or Ireland in 2024 (and beyond later). We also have special projects in India, South America, and the USA.

You missions include, among others

  • You identify and research target accounts in new territories
  • You proactively engage with these target accounts
  • You map market trends, customer needs, and business opportunities, and build your own network to meet short, medium, and long-term sales goals
  • You prepare business proposals and respond to bids to gain new clients
  • You qualify the needs of potential partners through the SPIN and MEDDIC methodology
  • You lead demos and workshops supported by Operations teams
  • You craft and lead Go-To-Market strategies in new markets in Europe
  • You understand the geopolitical and strategic aspects of the cereal storage data and entertain relationships with key stakeholders in the region
  • You will support Javelot achieve its objective to monitor 50% of grain stored in Europe by end of 2026

Requirements

  • You are currently a student for a Master’s degree (Bachelor degree required) or equivalent experience in Business Administration or related field preferred
  • You love sales and can master MEDDIC and SPIN methodologies or you are eager to learn them
  • You have analytical skills, you are at ease with Google Suite (or similar) to manage data and extract actionable insights
  • You are looking for a healthy and dynamic work environment to take your next challenge
  • You are sensitive to the issue of eco-responsibility and want to give meaning to your function
  • You’re self starter who doesn’t wait for a project to be given to them to get active
  • You speak English and at least one other European language (Italian is a strong plus)
