What we are looking forNūmi is looking for a Lab manager who will work closely with our R&D department. Prior experience in logistics and laboratory operations are key requirements. As part of your mission at Nūmi, you will:
- Ensure optimal stocks of all lab consumables and reagents to support ongoing lab activities, including regular autoclave cycles
- Act as the primary contact for vendors and procurement-related matters
- Update and monitor all equipment database and associated maintenance programs and service suppliers
- Ensure and coordinate proper transportation of samples in and out of Nūmi’s facility
- Coordinate storage handling and removal of hazardous waste and clean/dirty lab coats by external vendors
- Assist and coordinate space organization of the laboratories, including prospective extensions/moving.
Requirements
- BSc or MSc in a relevant field such as biology, chemistry, or bioengineering and proven experience (2+ years) in laboratory management or operations within the biotech or life sciences industry
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and procurement processes
- Familiarity with laboratory safety regulations and best practices
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Interpersonal skills for vendor liaison and team collaboration
- Detail-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives
- Excellent written and oral communication in French and English
- Prior experience implementing and providing training for inventory management or procurement systems
- Prior experience with an autoclave device
