- Supervise, mentor, and train accounts payable staff
- Oversee daily processing of vendor invoices, expense reports, and payment requests
- Ensure timely processing of all payments according to company policies
- Verify and reconcile discrepancies in vendor statements and accounts
- Manage weekly check runs and electronic payments
- Monitor and address inquiries promptly from vendors and internal requests
- Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships
- Negotiate payment terms and schedules with vendors
- Identify process enhancement opportunities and implement best practices
- Develop and document standard operating procedures for accounts payable
- Collaborate in the procurement creation process
- Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports for management
- Ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP, and relevant regulations
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum years of experience in accounts payable, with at least years in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable processes
- Proficiency in accounting software (Netsuite) and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- A proactive mindset and curiosity
- Ability to adapt in a multicultural environment
- Fluent in verbal and written English/French
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in an international company
- Startup or scaleup environment preferred
