Vantive: A New Company Built On Our Legacy

Baxter is on a journey to separate our ~$5B Kidney Care segment into a standalone company. #Thisiswhere you shine

In the strategically key position of Head of Government Affairs for France & Benelux, you will report directly to the Head of Government Affairs & Market Development, EMEA, and will be instrumental in leading government affairs, market development and public policy in France & Benelux.

This position will be involved in commercial business development, educational program development and regulatory strategies across Baxter's Kidney Care business.

What you'll be doing

Advise and counsel internal executives on public policy and governmental matters, including pending legislation/regulations and policy initiatives and their potential implications. Develop, in partnership with company executives and the regional business unit head, government relations and public policy strategy and agenda in the region to help prioritize actions and resources. Participate and engage in trade organizations, non-governmental organizations and strategic industry groups that the Kidney Care segment is a member in to influence legislation, regulations and public policy that affect the industry and advance our interests. Develop relationships with key government officials in the central government, Members of Parliament, health institutions, their staff and administrative agency personnel on issues of importance such as expanding access to kidney care. Assist in government business transactions with Ministries of Health, Finance and other relevant government agencies. Develop thought leadership and influence commercial strategies. Expand, in collaboration with local universities, government agencies, and key opinion leaders, education programs and symposia to improve adoption of best clinical practices. Lead and balance external and internal resources.

What you'll bring

We are seeking candidates with 8-15 years of governmental or non-governmental organization and/or trade or industry association experience and/or experience within the private sector including:

Knowledge and ability to appropriately influence the political/policy process, including working with and managing consultants. Experience in public policy making processes. Experience in developing partnerships with trade associations and other industry partners to push an agenda. Formulating and implementing business development, government relations and external affairs policies. Demonstrated ability to analyze key regulatory and policy issues with respect to our strategic goals and to focus on those issues that advance (or could potentially inhibit) our driven business interests. Proven track record of partnering optimally with internal business collaborators. Record of achievement and accomplishment.

Must be organized and a self-starter and comfortable working within a team located across the region.
