Department Mission: Support SCO product growth, acquisition of new customers, through external hunting and internal cross-selling with Other Group Entities
Department Vision: Offer added value services to clients, thanks to continuous optimization of their Global Supply Chain
The purpose of this job is to be the first ambassador of SCO offer to new customers and within the Group. To recruit / manage a team of Business Developers and to ensure SCO offer is always adapted to the customers’ needs by analyzing the market evolution.
The VP Global Business Development will be in direct contact with The Global Account Managers of Geodis Group, with the various Sales Forces of the Group, and indeed SCO prospects. This is not covering farming and development of existing customers, which is managed by another SCO Direction.
Part 1
Contribute to
- Update SCO offer according to Market evolution, customer needs and new services offered by SCO.
- Validate Go-Nogo for new opportunities, with a strict application of the defined rules
Part 2
Take the lead on
- Generating new business opportunities
- Coordinating the response to customer RFIs / RFQs, with the other functions of SCO DHO, Operations P&L owners located into the Region and other Group directions (Customs, Legal, Finance)
- Presenting and negotiating SCO offer with customer, always respecting the Delegation of Authorities and the internal validation processes
- Signing new profitable contracts, respecting Geodis DOA, and SCO strategy and rules
- Explaining, teaching SCO offer with Geodis Group and supporting other LoB when they receive a request
- Internal cross-selling, passing tender to other LoBs when they match with services provided by them
Part 3
Responsible for
- Updating Geodis CRM, to reflect actual Sales activity
- Managing, leading, animating the team of Business Developers
Working conditions
• Employee will be located in Levallois-Perret facilities; She/He will be required to travel
• The Business Development Community is Global, English is the single working language
• Home office is accepted 2 days per week
Experience & Knowledge
High level of skills in Earing customer needs, Negotiation, adaptation
Knowledge of supply chain management
10 years of experience in Sales environment
Regular MS skills (Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
Fluent in written and spoken English
