Geographical Scope: France 70%, UK 30% (travel within Europe expected)
LANXESS France is currently seeking strong, motivated, and talented individuals with the appropriate sales and technical experience for the position of Account Manager - Lubricant Additives product portfolio (LAB BU).
Key Responsibilities:
- Leverage your in-depth knowledge of our diverse Lubricant Additives portfolio to identify and commercialize new opportunities across various industry sectors
- Drive profitable and sustainable growth for BU LAB and LANXESS with your expertise
Additional Responsibilities:
- Drive Growth: Develop top-line growth for local and regional accounts by crafting strategic account plans and identifying key projects to ensure profitable and sustainable growth for BU LAB
- Support Global Accounts: Provide essential support to selected Global Accounts within the region, collaborating with Global Account Managers to refine and implement local strategies. Manage budget responsibilities to ensure effective execution
- Build Relationships: Maintain strong internal and external multilevel relationships to uncover and develop new sales opportunities. Utilize these connections to drive growth
- Streamline Information Flow: Ensure seamless market and business information flow across the team and throughout the LAB organization, particularly with Marketing and Technology teams. Guarantee consistent use of the CRM tool and maintain forecasting accuracy with the IBP Tool
- Negotiate Pricing: Leverage insights from Product Management to negotiate account pricing, ensuring alignment within your territory or business segment. Prepare well-reasoned business cases to justify pricing requests
Knowledge and Experience:
- Education: Degree in Chemical, Technical, Engineering, or Business Administration (optional)
- Experience: 5-10 years of relevant sales experience, including distributor management and Key Account Management, direct working experience gained within the chemicals industry, but lubricant additives would be an advantage
- Languages: Fluent in French and professional proficiency in English
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to gain respect and credibility with customers
- Project Management: Strong project management experience and analytical skills
- Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Mindset: Entrepreneurial thinking with the ability to overcome complexity
- Team Player: Collaborative and team-oriented
- IT Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools
