About the Company
Applica are proud to be partnering with an energy major operator for a new LNG bunkering project in Oman which will create a regional hub for LNG bunkering services, supplying LNG as marine fuel. This role will initially start in Contractor offices in Paris before eventually relocating to site in Oman.
About the Role
You will be an experienced Construction Manager who will lead a major capex LNG project. Key responsibilities include:
- Enforcing HSE principles and rules within the construction teams.
- Recruiting and assessing the competency of the construction team.
- Managing all construction activities for the LNG Plant, including Construction Engineering, Supervision, Pre-commissioning, and Completion of Punch until Hand-Over to the Commissioning team.
- Ensuring construction progresses according to project budget, schedule, and requirements.
- Ensuring compliance with technical standards, HSE rules, and company guidelines.
- Ensuring the LNG Plant's performance, operability, maintainability, and reliability.
- Implementing the In-Country-Value Plan, including local recruitment and procurement.
- Managing external interfaces and ensuring integration with other project packages.
About You
To succeed in this role, you need:
- Over 10 years of professional experience, preferably in the Middle East.
- Over 10 years in similar positions or managing major international construction contracts.
- An Engineering Degree as required by Omani Immigration for the Work Permit.
- Proficiency in English; French is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
